how can i tell what chip i have?
i bought my wii already modded. i can play certain games that i downloaded and burned but some of the newer ones like resident evil umbrella chronicles or super smash brawl doesnt work. i dont know what chip i have. is there a way i can check without opening the thing?

try burning utility discs for the different chips. if you burn a disc from the d2pro website and load it, you will be able to see at the top of the screen if you have a chip and what version it is. lengthy process maybe, but wont damage the hardware, providing you only load it for reading the information it spits at you
