Cool D2PRO problem reding discs

Hey Folks,
I'm new to the site, which gets a big thunbs up!!!!!!!Stumbled across it while googling this issue.

Well this is my first post,I had a look around but couldn't find any post with similar issue.

I bought a d2 pro-d2e chip a while back and burned a few game images onto disc(pal version) and everthing was working fine. After a while though every time i put in a disc "system update" needed would appear where the game logo should be with the copied games. Now even with original games the same thing appears.
I downloaded the utility disc software 1-.7 and installed it but still nothing.System is running 3.4 ,duuno if this is good or bad??????
Pretty much stumped at this stage,
Any Ideas appreciated.

I would read this post [Only Registered Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register]

I am a NOOB and this got me going...i think you may need STARFALL on your wii and have the disk update turned off.

Again, I am no expert but read the link above.

good luck.

"system update" will appear when an import game (or b/u) be loaded.

Hey billy ,
just making sure what your saying,I have a europe console and i downloaded a pal iso,pal is europe right???????By b\u you mean back up??

Shouldn't game work with chip inserted instead of giving system update,Any way around it ????
without trying the starfall way.

1.yes. Pal is europe; b/u for backup copy.
2.with chip-mod, the "update" message would appear. u play b/u of other region with chip-mod + geckoOS.
3. check for more in "Guide:Region Booting with GeckoOS1.07b" --by e39.

Back again,I was able to install homebrew by turning off the region patcher with the utility disc.I'm now gonna try downgrading and loading starfall,
Kudos lads for sending me in the right direction.

AHHH,feels good to be playing HOD2 again.
