Anyway, another question, I have been finding various things which talk about being able to boot direct to the homebrew channel from an DVD ISO file, even on firmware 3.3.
Now, I have a bricked Korean wii with firmware 3.3KOR. Bricked by doing an update with NTSC-U Wii Music (..yea..I know..). The press "A" screen appears in English and then freezes after pressing A (previously was in Korean)
I have the homebrew channel installed
I have the twilight hack installed (from an NTSC-J disk)
I have firmware 3.3 KOR
I have a working savemii
I have a 100Mbs internet conection - up & down
I don't have a korean game with the 3.4 update on it.
The good admiral on here advises that I can fix it with a Korean game with 3.4 update. Unfortunately I am having trouble finding such a game by fair means or foul. A couple of games were officially released in January (in Korea) but you cannot buy them anywhere??? Anyway, I cannot verify if any of these games actually have the 3.4 update anyway...
OK..cut to the chase ........can I fix it this brick?
or should I be looking at another 210 000 KRW for a new wii and a new drive chip?

Peter,
let me see if I am following your story between the 2 posts correctly.............
you purchased a few Korean Wii's for the children
you used TP to downgrade them to 3.2J but it still reads 3.3J ?
and then played an NTSC U (USA game)
The fact that it is bricked is a good indication you didn't install Starfall
The 3.4 update, to my limited knowledge, is only available from the big N .. on the Wii settings page..which at the moment you cannot access ?
I think you will need a modchip to be able boot to the HBC from an ISO as it will not be recognised as a Wii disk
