bad region update.... bricked?

Well, i installed the d2pro9 last night on a dms drive. It worked fine. Unfortunately, in my hurry to test things out, the first think I put in the drive after modding was a ripped game. It loaded fine, i played it for a while, then went to sleep. i turn it on this morning, and it won't read anything. Not the game i played last night, not original games, not the d2pro9 util disk, nothing. it starts to try and read it, clicks a couple times, then nothing.

The other thing i did last night was connect the wii to my wireless network. i didn't do any updates, just connected it.

All I have been able to find about this problem is I totally screwed up the region update by loading a ripped game first (which sounds like its def the problem). Will I have any options at this point?

can you get to see you wii settings? if you can its not semi bricked, it doesn't sound like a full brick as it turns on.

how did you fit the chip? clip or solder?

have you tried to unplug your wii for 10 mins then tried again?

I can still do everything on the wii except load games. I did the 5 wire install here

I soldered the power, ground, points g, h, and j.

I have not tried leaving it unplugged for 10 minutes. I have only unplugged it for a couple seconds. I am trying leaving it unplugged for 10 right now.

well, the 10 minute power cycle didn't change anything.

apart from re-checking your solder joints i don't know too much about the d2pro9 so you might need some one who knows a bit more about them than me. sorry

I dont have a d2pro, But the game you played, Was it out of region? Only reason I ask is because with the Wiikey you need to play an own region game after installing to set the REGION code to the correct one.

apparently that is what i have done

my chip is d2pro9 v3, my system is ntsc, and i updated the region with a pal game. nothing works after that. no originals, nothing. im stumped
