OK...spent the last hour or so searching various threads and I am still none the wiser....help!

Korean Wii running 3.3K Firmware with D2E Pro modchip installed.

Everything was running well until earlier this evening. I have quite a few iso discs which are running fine. Most run no problem from the disc channel but a couple need to be loaded via Gecko.

However, I foolishly updated from an NTSC-U copy of Wii Music and now all I get is the initial Press "A" button screen and then it all seems to freeze. Additionally, before the update this initial screen was in Korean, now it is in English. I am confused as I previously let an update from another NTSC-U disc and had no problem (Tiger Woods).

Anyway, to cut to the chase...

is my Wii bricked, semi-bricked or something else....and more importantly........

Can I save it?

All help and advice is, of course, very much appreciated...

it sounds like you just messed up the IOS's if you can play any other game... then its just a wiimusic issue

No, I cannot get past the "Warning...Press A" screen which is now in English, previously was in Korean.

As soon as I press A, the white writing fades to very dark grey and the consoles freezes.

Tried booting up with all different discs in the console but same every time. Would some sort of auto boot disc help me?

you need Savemii, + a auto boot disc to update it to a higher firmware

OK, I just ordered a Savemii.

I have a question on the autoboot disc:

Will this need to be made from a Korean disc with an update to 3.4 on it?

To make it autoboot do I need to have a patched ISO file and this burned to disc?

it has to have a KOREAN FIRMWARE UPDATE HIGHER THAN YOURS
you got to patch and burn

Now, to find a Korean ISO with 3.4 update...hmmm....

hmm searching for 2 days and cannot find any where to download Korean ISO's.....

can anyone help?

he he...thanks for the advice! The wii is still not very popular out here but it is growing slowly.

Unfortunetly I don't know anyone else that has one......

nevermind...plan B is also in action...I got my savemii this morning and I am waiting on a LG GDR-8163B drive arriving. So if I have to I can buy a new game, rip it and patch it for autobooting.

Only problem is I don't know for sure if any new Korean wii games will have the 3.4 update. I am assuming that those released in Jan or Feb may have it?

Any suggestions on this?
