I can, sure. Since the code windows got taken off the site it's kind of forced me to rewrite all my guides, so I'm still sorting out how I want everything organized. I agree it looks confusing right now.

As soon as I finish the guide I'm working on I'll go over and give this one a real update.

And until I do here's the source list of the tracks for the CTGP:

Okay I decided to just take out the names of the original tracks and leave in only the custom tracks sorted by cup. I still want to clean the whole post up a little more but it can wait.

Anyways hope that works for everybody.

I have a quick question. The program works wonderfully, and I've gotten everything to work exactly as it's supposed to, however... The tracks do not show up in multiplayer. Is this a known issue? Am I doing something wrong?

The patched version of each track you replaced need to be also inserted to the _d.szs version of said track also.

ok...have followed this thread to the tee. It all seemed to work
Used WBFS manager to extract existing ISO to PC. I read something about advance extraction. Is that something I should be doing?
I use Wiiflow and have made my own custom boxcover.
Problem is when I play the game I still get the normal tracks and not the new ones...! Should the names of the tracks be changed also?

This thread is sooo cool. Thanks

I'm not sure what you mean by advance extraction. Basically what you're doing here is a process of extract -> patch -> replace. If I had to guess, assuming you replaced the right files in Wiiscrubber like the guide shows... When you re-add your ISO back to the drive try deleting the copy that's on there, then add the new ISO. Or even easier, use the ISOrenamer tool at the bottom of the guide then you can have both.

The names of the tracks don't need to be changed before replacing the files in Wiiscrubber.

I read reply #31, now that I re-read it it sounds like a normal extraction.

From my original wii disc I used WBFS manager to put the iso in. Then I used WBFS manager to make an ISO to HDD. Then I followed this tute carefully.. I changed existing ISO, renamed it OK and added back to WBFS.... I expect that it's just me, so I will go through it again...even more slowly.

My last note did't make sense...I was asking whether within the game the name of the tracks appear as the new name? eg. instead of Mushroom Gorge it says Mushroom Peaks

Ok I see what you were asking. In that case no the track names are going to remain the same as their originals. Those need to be edited in a different file with a Hex Editor. I just haven't figured out which file yet.

I'd say then if your tracks aren't changing at all you might be mixing up the patched .szs with the original file when you go to replace in Wiiscrubber.

    Custom Race Announcement!

A few of us are looking to get together and race our way around a few of these custom tracks for fun. If you'd like to join us the current proposed meet time is Saturday, April 17th @ 4pm EDT (GMT-4). Anyone is welcome. The only requirements are:

A.) NO CHEATERS. This is a fun get-together amongst friends and cheating (use of Ocarina codes, etc.) is not something we're interested in.
B.) You must have the entire list of custom tracks available to you (list on the front page of this thread). There are currently 18 custom tracks we'll be pulling from.

Anyone wanting to sign up is welcome to PM me (please include your Friend Code & MKWii Code so I don't need to hunt them down later). I can't guarantee I'll catch signups if you post here, so PM me to make sure I know about you.

    --------------------------
Here's the latest new track, and it's got something we haven't seen before in any MKWii tracks:

    Incendia Castle

In case you're not sure what's so special about it, Mrbean figured out how to get the track to force you into a new route every lap. So the course changes as you progress. It looks fun, tough, and interesting.

That's it for now guys. Remember, don't bomb-omb and drive.
