Exclamation cIOSCORP is it safe 2 install????

Hi i have heard about installing the app program cIOSCORP its ment 2 be really good i would like 2 play games through the normal disc channel but i dont wanna risk it if its gonna brick my Wii So i am wondering should i or shouldnt i install it???? Can anyone give me any advise with this app, is it just as safe as any app or is it just a 30-70 percent chance of a bricked Wii???? I am running a 3.2e Wii recently downgraded from a 3.3e, pimped out with Pimp My Wii, with Preloader, running Mios v8 so i can play Gcube backups & running 249 & the new Rev17. Any advise on this matter please people, the more posts the better cause i dont wanna jump in2 this program feet first or i might end up regreting it. Hope i have posted this in the right place? Thanks people

I'm running a 4.2 with hermes 4 and cIOS38v17(249) and priiloader. I've never found a need to install it. I would not recommend it either, some of the staff here say that it is a complicated app that requires some degree of knowledge and is very difficult to uninstall. It can be more trouble than anything else for the average guy. I say stay away unless you have no other choice.

    Arrow I installed cioscorp v3.2

Hi,i installed cioscorp v3.2 and it works great!
I've never heard of cioscorp bricking a wii, just
causing problems with other apps, such as turning
the HB channel upside down! Stay away from
cioscorp v3.5! This is the version that caused
all the problems! The latest version is 3.6,and
seems to have the bugs ironed out,but good luck
finding a link to download the program, the modderators
deleted them all! I'm probably only one of a select few
who like cioscorp, but it's entirely up to you if you want
to use it. I've finished rambling now! Good luck!

If you have to ask if it's safe then it's probably best to avoid it until you learn more about what it does to your Wii system files. Try reading the cIOSCORP readme, that is scary enough.

If you really want disc channel loading then buy a modchip, it's cleaner, safer and there is virtually no chance of bricking.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

I have installed cios corp v.3.6 and rev 17 and hermes ios 222/223 just make a nand backup with bootmii befor you play about, that way if you brick your wii bootmii will still boot and you can restore you nand unbricking your wii. I would say its safe to install by only pal gamecube games work from disc channel and new wii games ask you to update wii ie nsmb

Only rely on bootmii/boot2 to rescue your Wii. Bootmii/IOS is not much of a brick recovery tool.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

It's really not needed, you can get your backups running without it. The other backup loaders are much safer.

bootmii has installed as boot 2 on my wii, but would only install as ios on my bros wii, if his wii was to brick would bootmii still load and let you restore his nand.bin file,or will bootmii only load on a bricked wii with bootmii installed as boot 2.

It will only load when installed as boot2!
Your bro should install priiloader also!
Priiloader can save from a partial or
    semi brick.

Instaling any ios on a wii can brick but the chance of it happening is slim, ive done 16 wiis now with cios corp 3.6, why mess about with different loaders when you can load wii and gamecube backups from the original disc channel this is the way forward with wii hacking, good if you have kids they wont mess it up, try it out your be glad you did
