WAD Manager cannot read USB fat32 partition

I have a WD 250GB passport HDD that has an active partion of 200GB formated with WBFS and has games on it. The second partition is a fat32 where I have some wad that I want to install since my 2GB SD card is almost full.

The WAD manager when select USB 2.0 to load, says mounting but never comes back.

Do I need to make fat32 an active partition to work with wad manager.

I'm not 100% sure, but if you haven't installed ios202 from the Hermes 222/223 installer you may not have access to usb 2.0 through homebrew apps. The package can be found in the softmod guides (links below) if you've not yet installed it.

Trying to find 202 but no success. I checked the original package that I used to hack, doesn't have it. There is a wad for it under /wad. I tried installing it, but still can't read from USB HDD.

Here you go. 202 defaults to 38 I believe, if not just choose the option that says Recommended.

    Installation procedure for 222/223.
    1. Remove all GameCube memory cards and controllers. (This step is very important. Do not ignore it.)
    2. Copy the apps/cios_installer/ directory to sd:/apps/
    3. Start HomeBrew Channel and start the cIOS 222 Installer
    4. Read the warning message and push A
    5. Select IOS249 to perform the install with D-pad left/right and push A
    6. Select to Install Custom IOS 222 and select IOS38 merged with IOS37
    7. Wait for download and installation to complete
    8. Start HomeBrew Channel and start the cIOS 222 Installer again
    9. Select IOS249 to perform the install again
    10. This time select Custom IOS 223 and select IOS38 merged with IOS60
      • IOS223 gives you an alternative option for merged IOS in this way. It is exactly the same as IOS222 otherwise.
      • Experiment with other merges or not merging at all if neither of the options provided here work for you.

Thanks. I have CIOS222 installer in HBC. But the problem is it does not show 202 option. It gives 222 and higher. Will this particular package that you mention will give me 202?

THanks. I installed it using 38 and it asked merging with 37 or 36 which I did.

I goto wadmanger and try loading USB 2.0 and it gives me ret = -1

Any idea? I have another CIOS installer rev4 that is version 3.0. I then tried isntalling 202 again, this time it gave me option to install it as 38 only (recommended). But it will fail after giving OK to all the hash etc. Same return code -1.

Hi i had similer problem tonight but i cured by making the fat32 as the active artition in which the wbfs patition became inactive ....so i then made wbfs partition active again the tried it on the wii & it loaded ok in wadmanager as usb 2 partition

I used diskpart to make my logical volume in extended partition 29GB active. It shows active, but wadmanager still cannot read it. Strange thing is Wiiflow still able to load games from WBFS primary partition.

One thing is, I cannot choose 202 in wadmanager. The closest CIOS available is 222. Is my 202 install complete? How can I be sure?

Hiya i found it works best for me is if you make unformated (wbfs) as primary & the fat32 as primary aswell.

with the cios im not sure with regards to that

as soon as i done that wwadman recognized the drive straight away

    hope this helps

    regards ty
