    Priiloader Question

Can I install both priiloader and bootmii on my wii?

I have bootmii as boot2 right now, and I want to disable the system menu update for games...
I want to use priiloader to do that, but i am afraid that something bad will happen.

    What do you guy's think?

And I'm confused at how to customize the hacks.txt

It's perfectly fine, both programs are compatible with each other. Just make sure to install the patched ios for your system menu before you install priiloader if you haven't already - ios60patched if 4.1, ios70patched if 4.2.

    What is this patched ios?
And how do you find which system menu you are on?

Sorry, I hacked my wii and while ago...Haven't kept up with the news, just recently updated to cIOS R14 and installed cIOSCORP.
    Nothing else..

Priiloader requires that the system menu ios has the trucha bug patched and enabled before it can run. To find your system menu version navigate to Wii Options > Settings > top right hand corner.

For more information on priiloader view this article: http://www.wiihacks.com/other-faq-gu...preloader.html

I read that already, and shouldn't I install priiloader before I install cIOSCORP?
trucha bug, is there any special order i'm supposed to install that? Am I supposed to install trucha first and then do cIOS? Or can I just install anything in any order I want to, but i have to do the trucha before the priiloader.

cIOScorp is asking for trouble if you ask me, but do what you will.

It sounds like you need to take a look at the softmod guides in my sig - You've got a lot of questions that are already covered in them. Follow the 3.1-4.1 or the 4.2 guide, whichever firmware you're on.

    What's wrong with cioscorp?

And I guess order doesn't really matter?

Order matters a lot. If you were to install priiloader before the patched system ios for example, you'd brick. Always follow the guides on this site, and follow them word for word.

cioscorp makes a huge number of changes to the console and has caused many brick threads on this forum. Just run a search if you don't believe me.

    Hey.. please someone help me!!!!!

My wife got me band hero for xmas, and the system, update is required to run it. i just got my wii softmodded, and i didn't want to update and lose all the haz i just got working. so upon doing some reasearch i found that priiloader can bypass the disc update feature.
so i tired this, now my system reboots and has the "system files corrupted" screen on it, the one with the letters all misshpened and half missing.

I had bootmii installed on my system but i cant get it to come up so i can t get it to restore my nand. i;ve tried a few different unbricking gudies, but none are working. i cant access homebrew or the internet.

Is there anything i can do to fix my wii? please help if you can....

If you get the 'system files corrupted' screen don't panic, just reinstall preloader and if that doesn't fix it reinstall your current system menu with Wad Manager.
