Us We want to play DVD MOVIES on our Wii?

Hello. We are new to Wii hacking, so we're still trying to figure everything out.... So, sorry if this is a really basic question!

We already have the Homebrew Channel, as well as Neogamma 8.1 beta. Everything runs fine when it comes to playing games we've got on burned DVD's. ;-)

We want to be able to play DVD *MOVIES* on our Wii. How do we do this???? What do we need to install (if we need to install something else), WHERE do we install it from (any links to download it would be great! Instructions are nice, too...), etc?

In case you need to know: We have an LU64 serial number, and version 3.4U on our Wii.

    Thank you, in advance!

I should add, I guess, that it would be nice if we could also play movie files other than just straight from a DVD (like .avi files, .mp4 files, etc). Basically, any typical movie format that we might have on DVD to watch movies with. ;-)

Thank you for any help anyone can offer us!!

First youll need to install dvdX and then you can install m player ce. I dont know what formats m player can use but you can also put movies on an sd card and HDD.
If I have helped you in any way, please thank me by pressing the little thanks button.

Thanks. I appear to have found a thread about how to do that, so we'll try it tomorrow (when we won't threaten waking my mother up in the next room by messing around with the Wii). Right now, we were trying to load regular DVD movies (not burned ones--actual bought ones), so that's why we asked the question. However, in the future we'll want to run burned DVD's too, of course! As well as maybe HDD at some point, I guess.

When you use the hackmii installer for the homebrew channel, theres a option for DVDX.

We got it installed earlier this afternoon (and tested it out playing a normal, store-bought, DVD movie), from some instructions I managed to find posted. ;-) Thanks!
