    Update Wii Shop To V18

    i am a noob to all this but i had the same problem installing the wad for the bbc iplayer ret 1020 so i found a post about updating wii shop channel to v18 so i done this and then downloaded the bbc iplayer from the wii shop channel hey presto!! i now have a working bbc iplayer and all my homebrew and mods are all intact. MY CURRENT SYSTEM IS 4.0E

    follow this link to update wii shop channel http://www.wiihacks.com/homebrew-dow...installer.html

    then download bbc iplayer from the wii shop channel, if your prompted to update wii system DONT hope this helps.

    Works great thanks. No idea if it fixed the error 1020 - but now I can download Iplayer direct from the wii shop and use it.

    Just finished watching the past two eps of Topgear.

    i believe you only get the 1020 error if you try to install the bbc iplayer wad as long as you have the latest shop channel update you shouldnt be prompted to update wii system when you download the bbc iplayer from the wii shop channel.

    Same problem and error, tried to fix with a patched ios 38 and a ios 70 patched with an up ro date cios....... and same error

    Anyone fixed this yet ?

    For info on an updated 4.2e went into shopping channel downloaded BBC iPlayer Works a treat not small screened like a n other consol

    I have also tried to use the iplyayer wad and got the 1020 error

    Tested and working perfectly on 4.1E UK Wii. Downloaded the shop channel link, copied to sd card, ran from HB channel, chose not to install IOS61 but yes to shopping channel. Once installed launched shopping channel and downloaded iplayer. All running smoothly and will keep the wife off my laptop
