    CIOS38 rev 15

There are some people claiming that cIOS38rev15 fixes some issues with NSMB.
By all accounts this is not true.
It causes other problems, and is difficult to remove.
For now I would suggest we keep clear of it.

One way of reinstalling cIOS38rev14, is to use Anytitle Deleter, to remove cIOS38rev15 and IOS250.

My question is, is it safe to remove both of these, I thought 4.2 uses IOS250.

The installer uses this wad. IOS38-64-v3867.wad

    [ CIOS38 rev 15 ]:

    - DVD+DL support fixed.
    - DIP plugin improvement (NSMB may work a bit better).
    - ES plugin optimized.
    - FAT module bugs fixed.
    - FFS plugin bugs fixed.
    - EHCI module optimized.
    - Fixed bug in Installer.
    - Miscellaneous changes.

Has Waninkoko officially released this cIOS, I didn't see it on his blog. And, why can't you just install cIOS38 rev14 to overwrite rev15?

I will not be installing this cIOS until more is known.

    I have not installed cIOS38rev15.
I have seen lots of threads on GBAtemp from people who have installed it, found it has flaws, and have had difficulty removing it.

Its suggested by removing cIOS38rev15 and IOS250 this allows you to reinstall cIOS38rev14.

I've also had a couple of posts here where people have used cIOS38rev15, and are having problems.

This isn't Waninkoko's release, someone just used his source code, some people say Waninkoko's official rev15 won't be released until Christmas Eve.

    Goodbye Wii

This means that hardly will see new applications developed by me, and updates from "Custom IOS" are less frequent.

I'm currently working on a higher priority project that has nothing to do with the Wii scene (well, actually a little self after all).

true, but he did return after 4.3, and is still about at the minute.

Shadowsonic2 is correct above, this is not an official release, the official release is supposedly coming at Christmas Eve. Hopefully its better than this junk thats out there!

I actually uninstalled rev15 to solve my NSMBW problem with anytitledeleter, but I didn't delete IOS250, only IOS249; that was good enough, since it's still being used.

wondering about this as i went back and fourth a few times with rev15 and overwritten with rev14. going back to rev14 did what i expected it to do as far as getting rid of the 001 error (i'm told is a result of using drd-r). just wondering since i have as of yet to notice if this overwriting was insufficient and gonna cause other problems down the road.

From what I can see this release rev15 may allow DVD's to be used, but makes neogamma inoperable. I think people have been messing aroung with it and other IOS trying to get NSMB to work. It may end like rev13 and 13b, where you decide what features you want.
Actually getting NSMB to work was quite simple, if you use a USB loader, myself, davepm and many others had it working within an hour, on USB HDD.
I made a channel wad for the game to help people, but still the thread with the excellent guide by davepm grows.
