    Saving protected games to SD card

    There are a few games that will not allow you to save the games to the SD card. i.e. Mario Kart and recently Rabbids go Home.
    Save Game extractor only works for DVD's, for USB-HDD I do this.
    From HBC run Gecko, my edition is 1.9.3.
    Goto Rebooter options
    Set Remove copy flag to yes
    Launch Rebooter
    @Health warning press A

    You can now go to Wii menu settings, and copy your game from Wii memory to SD card.

    this works great, unless you have preloader, as the rebooter doesnt like preloader (although, if you have preloader, then it already has an option to remove the save game protection).

    Not sure whats happening if you followed this.
    Do you have priiloader or preloader, you can set remove copy flag in there.

    as WiiJohn says, if you have Preloader you must use the settings in there. You cannot reboot with hooks if you have any form of preloader installed.

    Gecko would no work so installed preloader for the save game hack, but now stuck in preloader menu and cant get out to system menu or HBC.
    what now, wad manager crashes, cios installer crashes, nand clean crashes, but anytitle deleter works,cant install HBC cos of fake signed iso,
    do i need to install an untouched iso to get it to work again?
    or how do i install my nand backup when i cant get out of preloader menu

    cheers

    You can always resore your nand, but hopefully thats not nessasary.
    Here is a guide I wrote for installing Priiloader, preloader is obsolete.

    Add Priiloader to 4.1U or 4.1E or 4.2U or 4.2E

    The information for most of this guide is taken from several of Dogeggs excellent guides.

    When you have updated to 4.1or 4.2 and have checked at Wii icon bottom left of screen, Wii settings that you actually are, you can install the latest Priiloader.
    You should also have HBC 1.0.6 latest version

    If you have preloader remove it by installing your system menu.

    Download 4.1E here, System Menu 4.1E

    Download 4.1U here, SystemMenu 4.1U

    Download here, System Menu 4.2U

    Download here, System Menu 4.2E

    Copy wad into SD\wad
    Install with Wad manager

    install IOS60-patched.wad for 4.1 make sure you do this before you install Priiloader
    Download here, IOS60patched

    install IOS70-patched.wad for 4.2 make sure you do this before you install Priiloader
    Download here, IOS70patched

    Copy wad into SD\wad
    Install with Wad manager

    Download here, Priiloader rev32

    Copy directory to SD\apps

    Get hacks.in file here,
    Hacks.in all

    Edit text file, use lines with 449 for 4.1U, 450 for 4.1E, 481 for 4.2U, and 482 for 4.2E

    Copy hacks.ini file to root of SD card

    Go into HBC and select Priiloader, then load.
    Press + to install.

    When finished select 'system menu hacks' in the Priiloader menu
    To start with just enable
    'skip disc update check' and the region free ones .
    save then go into settings
    Autoboot = system menu
    Return = system menu
    Save.

    To check Priiloader is working, power off, then on. You should go to system menu page.
    Power off, then on, holding the reset button until Priiloader screen comes up.
    Check you can exit to HBC.
