Is there a hack to access the data management screen without leaving a game?

I've got Rock Band 2 running off cLoader (can't get it to run from disc) and it's working almost perfectly. I can load the game, the instruments work, and i can download DLC after changing my wii shop region, but i have one problem, which is that the DLC songs never get removed from the Wii memory, and it eventually fills up.

I know this is a common problem, solved by using the disc, but i was wondering if there was a mod out there which would add the data management screen to the wii "home" menu so it would be accessible without leaving the game (and losing recent progress if the wii memory fills up)

either that or an ftp server which runs in the background and lets you run games without closing it..

ive not seen anything, but i would imagine it coiuld cause some serious problems, accessing and modifying the memory, while its in use by a game is a recipe for disaster!

There is no hack nor will there ever be one due to IOS reloading issues. Your system menu runs on an IOS seperate from the game you are playing. The way the wii handles this (probably due to memory limitations) is by unloading the game IOS and loading the System Menu IOS.

As far as I know you cannot run 2 IOS's at the same time

I don't believe that this can be done on a Wii. In the Wii, only one IOS is active at a time. A Wii game does not run the the foreground with the sysmenu running as a backgrund process. Rather, When a game is running, sysmenu is closed; to access sysmenu or another Wii process, the game is closed.

Well 2 out of 2 members agree thats always a good thing! And I edited my post. The original one just had the first sentence and i went back and thought it needed to be more descriptive to try and prevent arguments.

    Somewhat related to Data Managment,

Ive run out of room on my wii and alot of games dont like my SD card. Is there a way to have the data point to an external HD?

Are there any homebrew apps for this?

Ex. I want to take all my downloaded songs from my sd card and load them from my USB for Rockband 2?

    Cheers
