in the past when i bricked my wii ,i have already had my wii configured for wifi .i have launched homebrew channel from bootmii and use a downgrader or just used wininakos safe updater and its worked fine for me 3 times
THC420
I was reading around and there are allot of conficting views on this - Some say yes - some say no
Now I understand if you damage you system menu file for 4.1U I believe then Preloader will not run if the system menu is damaged therefore unable to load HBC and no bootmii.
But...
If you are still able to load preloader and get into bootmii via HBC are you able to restore your nand??? Again everyone has there opionion - which one is the correct one?
It sucks were aren't able to install via boot2 - we're just trying to get the best brick protection
Cheers and thanks to everyone here for there input

you can do other things besides restoring your nand via HBC with preloader.. It is said that it is not the smartest thing to do. You better find tha bad wad and uninstall it with preloader. It provides that kind fo protection
yes this is all you have to do:Originally Posted by mechskip [Only Registered Members May View Links| Click here to register]

i havent opened and tried this program yet, but was wondering if anyone knows if you can go back to original 4.1u after using a theme?
I see there is a file called Orig Theme 4.1u.app, do you rename this to Orig.csm or something along those lines?

ppl be careful with your themes, a lot of people have bricked that way
I didn't have to rename any of the files - I just copied to sd and installed in system - No bricks on my end - 4.1U
And the original .csm file worked fine to get it back to original menu
