If you followed one of the soft mod guides from here then you will most probably have a preloader of some sort installed whether its preloader or bootmii. If its preloader hold the reset button when you switch the console on and it will take u to a different menu. On this menu u can access homebrew channel and then from there u can run menuify app and install your regions original menu. Let me know how u get on?

    Hello :)

Hi everyone, Thanks for up Themes, interested me But think ill pass. Dont understand why People are Changing there Themes, because it seems Everyone who install themes are asking 1 Question, How do i go back to Original...
If your interested in the origional Menu Why change?
Plus i think its Crazy, ok its a 50/50 chance of bricking but these Themes are for system menus 4.1 ONLY, and you MAIN origional theme as gone soon as you install a theme, you can only get one that Looks like the Origional One.. So whats going happen after afew Months and New system menu comes Out where its a must upgrade to play games? you will update and Brick wii via theme, even if its a safe offline one.. Updates Change Files and Custom Themes will mess with the update = it to Brick. I think its save to Say dont change theme unless your staying on 4.1 for ever and when new games come out Demending 4.2+ menus, you can keep playing the old Games. This is only my Thoughts ofcause but think some peeps might be interested. you brick your Wii you will "cry" regrate trying themes, you Manage install Theme, you want know how get to origional.. lol Crazy even thinking about it lol..

While I think your sentiment is in the right place - themes are very dangerous to use, especially without brick protection as many users on this board don't seem to comprehend - some of your information is misleading. Games run off the series of IOS files installed on the console, but don't require newer system menus to function. No game requires the user to upgrade their firmware, so the scenario you mentioned just isn't feasible.

That said, your initial sentiment is good advice. Themes shouldn't be attempted without extensive knowledge of the console and how it functions. If someone who doesn't meet these requirements has been messing with themes and hasn't bricked yet, they've been lucky. Period.

For anyone reading: Themes are for advanced users. As an example, if you feel the need to make a post asking how to do anything related to this thread because you lacked the patience and know-how to find out for yourself, just put down the Wii remote, take the sd card out of your computer, and step away from the console before you end up here asking for help.

    Perfect

Absolutly Perfect advice Love the ending lol "Step away or it end up here asking for Help" lol and About the Games needing Updated Firmware was just a Guess what Furture Wiis might require, I knows its chance but it could Happen i.e. Games Now have Updated Firmware on Disk (optional I know but Super Mario WII, wii sports resort etc) But you never know, one day in afew months to play a game the firmware MUST be installed and with Themes, Updated Firmware, Even a modded safe offline one will Create untold problems cus the Themes IOS with the Firmwares IOS will not Match. And Another thing is Even with a Nand Back up you wii is still not protected. Been searching on Many Theme related Bricks and people who Theme bricked with nand still never got there wii work. themes are Custom, Created by a User, Who knows who the User is? The user could Hate people playing wii games from HDD or copied, and Made the themes to look nice but unable play Copied games. There are loads of problems people saying about Themes work, but copied games no longer Play. But this is what to expect. And its True what an Ealier Post said about "Themes can brick, But so can Everything, so without brick testers we never create a softmode".. This is Perfectly True, With no Risk Comes no reward. But Least bricking wiis it via softmod testing This created the best softmod Software that allows others to play Games via HDD, No more disk (Can keep them safe) and No more Burning out my Lens, USB never gets Old. I beleave is a fantastic creation. But themes, Even MORE Risks for a little menu. Pointless lol, No possitive outcome reallly, If you want your Wii look nice why dont you Add some "Console Covers" search that on Ebay etc (Wii Console Covers), Make the Wii its self look nice not its inside..

Nope. Themes are System Menu replacements.

Install one of these themes on your Wii and you'll have one of these.

Instead of looking at your nice Wii menu you'll be looking at this..
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.
