im very new to this and have searched and read alot but just cant find the answer so here is my question i have a soft mod on my wii 4.0 works great for backups and homebrew channel but now im worried about bricking my wii i dont have bootmii installed or a backup of nand do i need this and if yes how do i install??

If you have an older Wii that you can install BootMii as boot2 then it would be good, but if your Wii is newer (2nd half of 2008 to current) and have to install to IOS then it would be pretty useless, in terms of brick protection.
