Did you check to see if the usb stick is compatible there is a link on this website use the search box
I couldn't find any list or anything. But i was able to put an iso on my external hard drive using a game i already bought. I was reading that you cannot put an iso on the drive unless the DVD is in the Wii. So i was able to copy my game and it is working.
Yes that is true when using a USB loader to install the a game now if you were to put the usb into your pc and load WBFS manager and choose the correct drive letter your thumbdrive is using and press load and the game will show up
The game is no longer an ISO when in WBFS format its only the actual size of the game and not the DVD size 4.37GB games vary in size
Also if you were to own a game and download a backup on your pc WBFS manager could transfer it to your USB device or you could use IMGburn to burn the backup ISO(you may need winrar to uncompress the game rar to ISO size 4.38GB for burning if only downloading games that are the actual game size)which you can then install to your USB device using the wii and a USB loader
hope this helps
