It means it's ready to be restarted. If it does it immediately after starting the app then it's failed some checks and refuses to run.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

im on 4.0u and after i played guitar hero 5 off my hd my wii now crashes anytime i try and access the save files from the wii menu. i have read that upgrading to 4.1 has fixed this issue with a few people and it says to install iso60 to get the upgrade to work. my question is, is there anything i can download or a menu i can access that tells me all the cios that are already on the wii so i dont install over something and end up bricking it? or does it matter? the best i can remember i have bootmii installed on boot2 and the latest hbc and im running usbloader gx. i followed the instructions here.

How to Store/Load Wii Games via USB Hard Drive on System Menu 4.0 [Slick Tricks Part 2]

i also followed the instructions on this forum on how to get guitar hero 5 to work. i believe it involved installing a few merged iso's.

I'm having a problem, is Firmware Updater 4.1 still working since 4.2 is out?

I'm new to this and I've read everything I can find related and have searched but still didn't find an answer to my problem. I can built a computer & install it's OS blindfolded, i'm self taught so i'm not illiterate but this stuff has me a tad overwhelmed

I've followed the "New 3.1-4.1 Softmod for ANY Wii" guide
    http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...tml#post159227

My Wii has Sys menu 3.4U in it and i'm currently i'm up to step 4 (Update your system menu) in it and have done step 5A already but I try to run Firmware Updater 4.1, it goes to the screen with the rainbow background and in the black section it says "[+] Initializing network, please wait ..." and doesn't go any farther. It's like i'm not connected to the internet but I can access News and Weather channels so I know it's not that.

Any ideas on a fix/solution will be greatly appreciated

Also ... does the update program download the update files from Nintendo or is someone hosting the files on their server somewhere and this accesses them?

    System menu: 3.4U
    Serial #LU 3875

EDIT .... Nvm, I connected the LAN adapter to the other USB port and that did the trick I figured i'd come back and tell what fixed it, I HATE when you help people (although I wasn't helped yet) don't come back and tell if they got it fixed or not.

Make sure you have IOS222 installed, when you select the GH5, go into the settings and make sure IOS222 is set to boot GH5, IOS222 is not used automatically like IOS249, you must tell the loader to use it. You are using a USB Loader, correct? You never said how you are booting the game. And make sure you are using the latest up to date version of your USB Loader and the latest IOS222.

If you think the game save is crashing your Wii, then transfer the game save to your SD card and make sure it is not in your Wii internal memory anymore (and maybe even transfer the game save to your computer and remove it from your SD card), then try rebooting the game. When you are upgrading to 4.1, make sure to follow the instructions, and if you can't remember something maybe it be best to check on it, and know where your copy of your NAND backup is, or make another if you can't find that one.

Red face Help with Firmware update...

Hi everybody, my first post here...
Got a Wii NTSC-U semi bricked with 3.4E Sys. Want to upgrade to get rid of the Opera error.
Just installed HBC 1.0.6, DVDX and BotMii. All these Ok, using BootMii as Boot2 and all. Did my backup of my NAND ok too.
Tried Pimp My Wii to update OFFLINE, downloaded all the IOS/wads from the list and so in the SD root. Nothing happened. It opens the PMW app, but no update is done. Says among others updated IOS: "IOS58 or IOS50 trucha bug fixed error -2011". No clue ´bout that. Says that can´t find any IOS and they´re all in the SD root.
Tried now the Waninkoko Firmware Updater v4.1 offline and nothing happens. Do I need something to put on the SD root to make it work?
Can I use the New Super Mario Bros Wii to update to 4.1U or is it a posibility of a brick?
Just updated with NSMB to 4.1U Now I have to get rid of the duplicated channels. Not a big issue, really. Being able to get into the settings...
