Geexbox problems - wont recognize Wiimote

So I put everything into my SD card correctly - apps folder in the apps, Geexbox folder in the root, and my wiimotes aren't recognized when I load Geexbox. Has this happened to anyone else?

I guess.... is it safe to assume... that the WiiRemotes are working ok outside of Geexbox ?

Could you give an example... what buttons on the wiimote you are using that do not respond ? ie.. precisely which button you are pressing to do a particular action?

Yes, I am able to use the wiimotes prior to Geexbox loading, since I am able to actually get into the Geexbox application.

As soon as Geexbox loads, I will press any button on either Wiimote and the two lights will blink for about 10 seconds then go stop lighting up. I have pressed every button and held down 1+2 on each wiimote many times, and the wiimotes are not detected when Geexbox is on the screen, but are any other time.

Just for giggles, have you tried holding down 1+2 while Geexbox is still in the process of loading... maintaining it until the splash/progress bar disappears?

When using Geexbox the light on the wiimote does turn off and use the D pad to navigate the options pressing right on the D pad to select
When a film or audio track is playing A pauses the film/track
hope this helps

Ahh you're wonderful. I guess I should wikipedia geexbox wii next time I have a problem huh? The control settings were all right there.

Now, here is something I can't find on wikipedia. Is GeeXbox capable of playing .iso files? As in, can I download an .iso movie, put it on my usb hard drive, and then play it on the wii with full menu and everything?

I not sure about the iso files playing I have a 500GB HDD and I have 300GB wbfs and 200GB FAT32 this is where I have all my music and movies GeeXbox plays it all mp3 mp4 divX it even has effects when music is playing
I only use avi. files bcos they are smaller fit more on HDD
Only downfall is the inability to rewind the film you can fast forward but only by going into the video option and speeding up the movie
You could try Mplayer its suppose to work with USB but i can't get it to find my HDD hence using GeeXbox but Mplayer will play DVD maybe you could burn the iso to DVD and see how that works
Hope this helps you
