    gamecube on wii

    i came to know that gamecube disks can be played on wii.
    but i dont have a gamecube controller which is required.
    is there any app that can run gamecube games using wii classic controller.
    wii classic controller and gamecube controller are similar.

    If there is then I'd wished I'd heard about it before I went out and bought a controller and memory card.

    I very much doubt it seeing as when the Wii goes into Gamecube mode it effectively becomes a Gamecube.

    Gamecube would have to be emulated for stuff like that to work, I'd imagine.

    As of now, you need a gamecube controller for gamecube games, and you may want a memory card too. I bought a wireless GC controller, since the rest of the stuff is wireless. I could just see someone tripping over the wire of a wired controller, bye bye Wii. And to play GC backups you are going to need to patch the MIOS.

    classic controllers are pointless, as gc controllers are cheaper, do everything classics can do, plus they can play gc games.
