I've recently started burning iso files with Imgburn at 4x with Maxell DVD-R.
I was just experimenting with Imgburn ad tried to burn at 2x and I got a write speed miscompare and got 4x? I changed the disc ID and device speed ad update it but still got a miscompare.

Realize burn speed supported is based on a couple of things. The write strategy employed by the writer, and the mediacode of the disc. The same disc in another brand writer may offer different burning speed options than yours does. 4x burning should be OK, in a few other cases 2x can be used. If the disc needs burned slower, try another brand (Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, and Ritek G05 work best).
