    this could be a bug in the drives firmware.

    what drive are you using (manufacturer, firmware etc)

    Those are your disks I believe, they don't support slower write speeds. Happens to me, but it says 4x instead of 16x- no issues from it on my side.

    I dont know my drive.
    So always verbatim DVD-R right? Mine are LG. I'll buy verbatim next time.
    And I burnt the game and played it in wii. After 2-3 levels it said unable to read DVD. So;

    Verbatim DVD-R + ImgBurn = Awsomeness

    First off you should burn at 2x speed. Second, is the disc clean? I know if the disc is scratched a bit it will have errors.

    Write Speed Miscompare discussed @ imgburn forum

    Buy slow speed dvds to burn slowly, hard to find 4x disc anymore- 8x was the slowest I saw.

    I use imgburn all the time , it works well for me . I also burn at 4x speed. Ive burnt games without verifying them , its not essential! you could try burning the game without checking the "verify" box! good luck
