If u get a hold of one of these and u don't want to install it in your computer u can buy this USB 2.0 to SATA / IDE 2.5” 3.5” Adapter Cable + Power not sure how to get power to it but u can...U can use rawdumper 2.0 with it....
I think using the LG drive to rip game discs has seen better days. Don't see much talk about them anymore. Ppl either download or rip with USB Loader, and I think there is a super dumper kind of like Wii Dumper but faster.

problem is i don't have a HDD for the wii cost around 130 bucks that i don't have...I know the LG GDR-8164B DVD-ROM would be the way to go for the time been...I don't mind doing wifi transfer but 2 hours is a long time to....lol
Use a usb memory stick or a SD card, the USB Loader will scrub the ISO (I think the super dumper will too). Most games are under 4 GB scrubbed. So you could use a 4GB storage device, I have an 8GB sandisc USB stick, I can rip any game to it. Then when you get it to your computer you can burn it with IMGburn to a disc.

Once you have all the parts on your Wii, you might beable to use an app called HJsplit to put the parts together, [Only Registered Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register], look there.
Dump with super dumper, not wii dumper, I used wii dumper on a Gamecube game an it took 2 hours.
