I used the default configuration of USB Loader GX to make sure I didn't screw up anything. Then, I launched a game and after the Dios Mios Screen, I get a black screen and nothing happens. I tried multiple games (Mario Party 4, The Simpsons Hit and Run, Mario Kart...) but the same thing happens.

My games are stored as follow : USB/games/GAMEID/game.iso

      Thank you for your time!

P.S: Should I open my own thread? I don't want to get this one all messy with my ramblings
Hmm, I know for a fact Hit & Run works cause I ripped it with CleanRip and played all the time with DM. Is it the raw dump or did you use DMToolBox or DiscEx? And no, just keep it in this thread, that's what it's here for lol.

No. Your issue seems to be here. Why not try r1207 of USB Loader GX? Just replace the dol and the .xml. Then delete the .cfg file AND your .ini file. the link is in the guide. I want you to try 2 games and see if that works. Since the default settings worked for me, the only possible difference I could think of is that it is your USB not being first (USB1)

Did you do the .txt file check?

I used DMToolBox with the "RAW" setting. I tried to use the "optimised" setting but I had the same problem.
Well, that's weird. I don't know what I'm doing wrong

I didn't mention it at first because my Wii backups are working just fine but...my partition used to be a WBFS partition. I converted it in FAT32 and made it primary instead of logical. Maybe DM doesn't like it at all ? I know I should have formatted completely but I was lazy, I admit!

I'll do that right now! I'm pretty sure my USB is first (99.9% sure ) My partition is the only primary partition on the drive.

Alright let me just sum up so far just to make sure we're not missing something. You're using USB FAT32 w/ 32kb Cluster size, dumped the game(s) from the retail discs, have USB Loader GX r1205 (deleted config and INI files before putting on SD), and have chosen GameCube Loader Mode as "MIOS (Default & Custom)", and stored the games as USB/games/gameID/game.iso?

Just want to see what to suggest next

In regards to your edit, that shouldn't be an issue as long as you set the cluster size to 32kb, but if possible it won't hurt to reformat.

Do not format it just change the cluster size:
Use Acronis Disk Director 11 Advanced : right click your disk/change cluster size/current cluster size: I use Acronis Disk Director 11 Advanced on three HDD to change it from 64KB to 32KB and I did not lose any data. (I ONLY RECOMMEND ACRONIS BECAUSE NO DATA LOSS) If you use any other HDD program you will have to backup everything before you change the cluster size.
The Main GameCube Path in GX has to be USB1. The games folder has to be in USB1 for DIOS MIOS to work:
      USB1/games/GAMEID/game.iso

Also, I just conceived of something. Amyrosie. Check your custom Paths to make sure it's connected to your USB1 instead of SD.

And Elemental Studio. That game isn't on the Game Compatibility List, and I don't own it, so I can't test it out for myself sorry.

Maybe DIOS MIOS 2.6 is not compatible with your micro sd/card reader in the usb port, try another USB HDD or Flash Drive or try the lite version and put the GC games on your SD card.

I'm betting that's the problem, an SD card is an SD even if its in a USB adapter. You'll either have to use DML and plug the SD card into the Wii's built in SD port or find an actual USB device...

I wish you had stated this sooner, then you wouldn't have had to make all those posts for help.

Having a feeling scomeone would say that I did try Lite but it told me that "this game is on a usb" "do you want to copy the games to the sd" the last time I tried it timed out @ 30%

Put the SD in the SD slot instead of the USB adapter and see if it still does that. Of course change the loader settings to suit DML as well.

Also make sure your SD card has at least 1.5gb available (GC games are, if I remember right, 1.47gb so you'll want to have a little more so there's enough room)

There is likely the problem, you used the default settings. Like cwjakesteel said change the settings to those recommended on the 1st page of this guide, the default settings do not point to the correct rom path nor do they specify any of the required info about which GC loader you're using (ie the settings won't know which version of DM your using)

Thank your for your help as well. What you described is exactly what my problem was, but I overlooked the clusters on my partition....unfortunatly I'm sure I'm not the first one to overlook that! I feel dumb Thank you so much for your help!

      Thank you everyone!

You sure aren't lmao, look at the first 15 or so pages, I was sure my HDD was incompatible but it turned out EASUS didn't make it 32kb even though I told it to. Had to copy 300gb of ripped DVD TV shows, movies, games and music, format the drive properly and copy it all back....longest 19hrs ever lol. Glad you got it working. I only neglected mentioning that part cause I thought it had been more heavily emphasized in the guide since way back when I did it.

      No problem
In regards to using a real usb:
I have SanDisk (4GB) I can just transfer the games
Also I use Acronis Disk Director 11 Home from [abbreviated site name removed] would I still be able to change the cluster with that or does it have to be Advanced...

Well, I used EASUS to partition my drive so it makes sense...I assumed everything was fine! Thanks again

I have no experience with Acronis, you'll have to wait for cwjakesteel or Candylove to respond. I guess you could try it and see.
