Just use DMToolbox v 0.3 or wiiflow v4.0.4 to install the 2 disc gamecube games. Wiiflow has added support for more 2 disc gamecube games for installing (thanks etheboss)
GX is working on 2 disc gamecube support, it does not have support yet.
Read the bottom of this page USB Loader GX, to find out about 2 disc GC games.

Update to GX R1204. The latest GX is in the bottom of this page USB Loader GX, Replace the boot.dol in your SD /apps/ usbloader_gx with the updated one (r1204_IOS249).

I have a savegame on Resident Evil 4 just before the disc swapping. I'll check it out and come back if it works.

I'm working on adding disc2.iso support for gamecube games.I rewrote the multi-disc detection completely this week since both Devo and DM use the same format now, it's easier to add two iso in the same folder than checking each duplicated games in different devices/folders.Installation, detection and launching of multi-disc games are working fine with devo and DM(L).I need to work on deletion and copy_to_SD menu.I don't want to give a beta here, as now too many end user is taking it from here and not reporting bugs.If you want to beta test it and help me, please come to IRC.@jaapdaniels: a manual, you want to write it? and translate it in many languages (well only 5, including Chinese and Japanese)? we have a wiki waiting for you to fill it and help users Remember that it NEEDS to be understandable by everyone, newbie or not.of course, nobody want to write the guide himself. it's too much work and time consuming. @ebay.question: We have already a lot of suggestions and fixes to do, but feel free to add suggestion as a new issue, not here.I'm currently working alone on it, so it's not moving fast.

Nobody is finding bugs, cyan. The loader is pretty solid. Aside from the imperfect emunand wad installer, it seems to be working great.

People are taking it from here because no official release supports DM. As I said. r1204 is good enough to be v3.1, Unless you wanna add DM 2.6's 2disk support first.

I just tried swapping discs on my retail version of Resident Evil 4 and it works like a charm, no problems whatsoever.

first of all i would like to thank the OP for a terrific guide and all the subsequent contributors who have tried to help all the various posters like myself who are experiencing problems.
i find myself probably facing a incompatibility issue with my external hd.However as i am not certain of this yet and having browsed a large amount of various topics associated with this problem i will try and see if indeed its a cock up on my part to begin with my actual hard ware set up

I used the recommended Mauifrog method to mod this Wii and all is fine on the Wii side of things play most of my titles with no problems{still having issues with metroid trilogy}
all my problems are with dios mios and getting it to work
the hard drive is formatted in fat 32 with 32k clusters using the pertinent guide recommended
i have tried wiiflow {804}
usb loader cfg
usbloader gx r1203/1202/1204 etc etc
HBC is version 1.1 on ios58 v24.32sysCheck #LtqJ3gPo and here is my syscheck{did this 2 mins ago brand new}
usbloadergx.cfg.and wifflow all see my usb drive and i can click on the GameCube titles d/l the covers etc
but if i try to play i get one of 2 error msgs
a! al area apploader is not with area of etc
or
fatal eror apploader is zero etc
the directory structure of my sd/usb drive is different to the resulting one in the Usbloadergx guide as i have all apps etc on my sd card

GX has two new revisions at once. r1205: Should be used as stable revision. It has new HBC and latest DIOS MIOS support.

Depends on your needs. They each have benefits.

Raws are good if space isn't a problem, plus all you have to do is drag and drop it in the right folder

Compressed is a good choice to save space but it doesn't work with all games. I've had several games refuse to play when compressed

Followed the USB Loader GX guide just a few days ago. All my Gamecube games used to work, both from Neogamma (from a disc) and from USB Loader GX (from the USB). Now, every time I boot up a game, again either from disc or USB, the Wii does one of four:
1. Shuts down
2. Shows a black screen
3. DIOS MIOS logo comes up, saying "a! a! error app_entry is not within the apploader area"
4. DIOS MIOS logo comes up with an error with something about a fatal error, didn't happen in a while so I can't remember that

What should I do? Reinstall DIOS MIOS? Reinstall some other IOS? Completely restore my NAND backup? Something else?

*Totally forgot to mention that the same backups on the USB, as well as backups on disc AND original Gamecube discs, used to work beforehand. Only original Gamecube discs actually work now with NeoGamma, all Wii games work though if that even matters.

It maybe the games or game saves could be corrupt
Here is Crediar's own FAQ page
Verify your loader settings and turn off things like NMM/Force-Prog, NMM/Force-Prog can cause black screens
Try to install the game again (delete the old folder before)
Try to use a game version that matches your region
Some USB HDD have issues when you power off the wii with the power button when you are playing GC games
Try using the Shortcut functions:
R, Z, Start: reboot Wii
R, Z, down d-pad, B: Shutdown Wii
You need to set GC Pad Hook to ON in USB Loader GX
If you are still having issues try re-installing DIOS MIOS 2.6 with Wad Manager 1.7 use IOS236
and update to R1205_IOS222-249-250.7z
Check your GC settings, try to keep it default or global.
Also try removing the GFG files in the GX app.

Thats my personal preference/recommendation as long as you've got the space for it.

Add a 2 to the 2nd disc and then install the 1st disc

I did not use GX to install the 2 disc yet, so I'm not sure....

Is DMToolBox the best tool to install games? Because I used DiscEX with the bat file method to install Resident Evil 4 and the second disc freezes after loading the save. I'm using r1205.

Has anyone tested if disc swapping actually works on r1205?

Yes use the latest DMToolBox 0.3 or higher.
Read the bottom of this page for USB Loader GX 2 disc swapping, I did not try it with GX yet.
