Are you sure IOS 250 isn't required? The first thing I did was update it to d2x v8 base 57, and it now works flawlessly on F-Zero. All settings are default with 32k Alignment and Compression on in USB Loader GX. Thanks candylove!
Edit: Potential dependency issue on 250? (I'm talking out of my rear-end though )

Latest USB Loader GX needs updated IOS249 and IOS250, without it updated GX may have issues. Happy you got it working

Thanks for the guide! I have a little question though:

      "Other Notes:

      Some Shortcut functions:
      R, Z, Start: reboot Wii
      R, Z, down d-pad, B: Shutdown Wii

This works fine for WiiFlow but you need to set GC Pad Hook to ON in USB Loader GX"

I have USB Loader GX 3.0 r1203, and I don't understand how to set this Pad Hook thing to make the shortcuts work... help!

      Thanks in advance!

In the bottom of GX on the left there is a big circle Settings button / Loader Settings / DML PAD Hook ON

Try using the USB Loaders to install the games or DMToolbox or DiscEX.
Also try re-installing DM 2.5 with Wad Manager 1.7 with IOS236.
Okay then. I installed DML 2.5 with WM 1.7 on IOS236, but the same problem pops up.
Here's a Syscheck if you need it.

      Nyminix,
You need to update only IOS236 to (rev 54321): Trucha Bug, Es Identify, Nand access and then re-install DML with IOS236. Updated IOS236.wad is in the MODpack in
Guide - Softmod any wii in Chapter 2, install only IOS236.wad with WiiMod or there is other ways to install IOS236 , you choose which is best for you as long as it gets updated. And try all settings default in GX and wiiflow and select SD for GC games in GX and wiiflow, if you are using the lite version.

Remove all GameCube memory cards before you update IOS236.

Question: What is that "sys" folder that is created with create_wad.bat (the folder contains apploader.img, bi2.bin, boot.bin)? Are the files in that folder exactly the same for every game (could I copy paste one sys folder from one game and paste it into another game folder)? I installed Tales of Symphonia disc 2 directly from USB Loader GX by inserting the game disc, and I noticed that the sys folder wasn't created there; is that ok?

      Thanks in advance!

No, they are not the same for every game. Yes the sys folder is not necessarily, the game works fine without it.

Okay, I updated the IOS236 to:

      Spoiler

I made sure all GC Memory Cards & Controllers were removed when I updated it. After that, I exited WiiMod and went back on it to re-install DML 2.5.
I used the Default settings for Wiiflow and GX to run it. Same problem.
I'm wondering... does the region affect it's compatibility? Since my Wii is 4.3 PAL and the ROM I'm using is NTSC. Is this the cause?

Change your USB Loader GC game settings: video to PAL 480i for that game (try all 3 PAL video options) and see if it works and try some same region games also. It may not work with GX but it should work with Wiiflow and CFG USB Loader v70 r49
My Wii is NTSC and when I use a PAL GC game Video mode NTSC 480i works for me with Wiiflow and Video NTSC with CFG USB v70 Loader r49
Some Out of region GC games does not work with GX yet.

Hi everyone. I have a question some of you may be able to help me with. I have a 1TB USB hard drive formatted to Fat32 unfortunately at 64kb clusters with about 700gb's of mostly shovel ware Wii games. Is it possible to create a new partition to Fat32 at the required 32kb clusters with the remaining 200gbs for Dios Mios? I don't have anywhere really to temporarily store my games to reformat the whole thing at the appropriate settings. Thanks

What do you mean "shovel ware Wii games"?

Use Acronis Disk Director 11 Advanced : right click your disk/change cluster size/current cluster size: I use Acronis Disk Director 11 Advanced on three HDD to change it from 64KB to 32KB and I did not lose any data. And everything work perfect after. (I ONLY RECOMMEND ACRONIS BECAUSE NO DATA LOSS) If you use any other HDD program you will have to backup everything before you change the cluster size.

OR If you make a new partition, t
o change it to 1st partition (USB1), you have to change all partitions to logical and then change the FAT32 with 32kb cluster size to primary 1st plus active and then the other partition to primary, so the FAT32 with 32kb cluster size is 1st partition (USB1) and the other partition is 2nd partition (USB2). DIOS MIOS only works from 1st partition (USB1).

2.6 is out...it says it added 2 disk support....has anyone tried this yet/know how it works ????

2.6 is amazing, it works with all latest USB Loaders

Sadly, it looks like this will be the last update for a while, as Crediar is now focusing on other things. Use the latest DMToolBox (0.3 or higher) to install your two disc games.

I've been trying to get this working and I keep running into issues.
After a few hours of trial and error, I got USB Loader GX to show the splash screen for gamecube games, but then it would show a black screen and not actually load the game. Eventually, I figured out that it was probably because my hdd was formatted into FAT32 with 64kb clusters. So after fixing that issue, my hdd is now running with 32kb clusters, but I can't even get the splash screen to show up anymore. I've tried messing with the video settings et al in every way I can think of, but nothing is doing the trick.
Granted it's been a loooooong time since I first softmodded my wii and a fairly long time since I first got USBLGX running, so it wouldn't be too surprising to find out I simply need to update something. In fact, that's about the only thing I can think of that's causing my black screen issues anymore.

On that note, here's a syscheck.

      Spoiler

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'll keep working on it and try not to lose my hair.

You should probably do the softmod any Wii guide to update your Wiis softmod, and then just to be sure, try reinstalling DiosMios, it could also be that your HDD/USB isn't compatible with it.

      Zachriel,
I agree with DiscMurderer, Guide: Softmod ANY Wii Start from Softmods with HOMEBREW CHANNEL installed, to update your HomeBrew Channel to 1.1.0 running on IOS58 and all your IOS and cIOS. Then update GX to GX R1204. The latest GX is in the bottom of this page USB Loader GX, Replace the boot.dol in your SD /apps/ usbloader_gx with the updated one ( r1204_IOS249)

Install USB Loader GX -UNEO_Forwarder Channel 5_1_AHBPROT.wad for USB Loader GX channel.
All latest USB loaders needs updated cIOS, which then loads DM, this is why you should always try dios-mios-booter r30 first because it does not need cIOS, you could try dios mios booter r30 before you update.
