DIOS MIOS v2.0

For whoever asked if you can change the names of the folder to identify each game, do this:

Game ID [Name]

Example: GM8E01 [Metroid Prime]

I don't know if you can change the game ID but I wouldn't recommend it because I think that's how the loader identifies each game.

i reinstalled DM2.4 with iOS 236 and still no go . No game shows up in diosmios booter, even though it shows up in cfg loader and wiiflow (but still boot to black screen). Is it possible my ISO is corrupted? Thinking of trying another possibly...

Is it just 1 particular game that does that or do none of your GC games work?

Only thing I can think of is your drive is either not formatted right, the games are not put in the right directories, the games are corrupted or your USB drive just isn't compatible.
Take a look at the Devolution guide and see if maybe you can get that to work.

Try using DMToolbox to install the GC games
Are your GC games in a folder like
USB1/games/GAMEID/game.iso
USB1/games/CARS [GKJE78]/game.iso
USB1/games/STARWARS LEGO 2 [GL7E64]/game.iso
If you do not see the DIOS MIOS splash screen, you may have to try another USB HDD or flash drive.

Yes they are in that format. Just to clarify, the "games" folder is in root and usb1 is just referring to the drive, not another folder correct? Maybeill try another hd and see if it works.

Correct USB1/games means root/games

hi Psychoplast.... I've tried it with the WD5000ML-00, and Wii games work, but GC games do not (just get the black screen when loading). However, the exact same GC game files work on a Cruiser 16gb thumb drive. I'm becoming convinced its simply the WD5000ML-00 doesn't work for GC games.... yet.

I have followed the tutorial but have the issue where both my official wavebird and official controller will not work once the game loads.

This happens on all games except Luigi's Mansion which works.

PimpMyWii says my system is fine.

I installed Dios Mios 2.4.

I read the guide and it said to load an original game, play it, and this would fix the issue. I did this but with Dios Mios installed even original games cannot be controlled.

When I downgraded by installing MIOS v10 my retail disc works fine and I can control it again.

Any ideas?

Are you using NMM or GC memory card ? Maybe your old game saves are causing the issues, try removing your old GC game saves and play the GC disc with DM 2.4 install and save, then try the same GC games from USB. Also try new GC games from USB.

Thanks for the reply. I've tried with and without memory cards but always get the same result - unfortunately, I cannot play even retail discs with DM 2.4 installed let alone save...

Did you try re-installing DM 2.4 with wad manager 1.7 with IOS236. All my GC retail discs works with DM 2.4.

Thanks! I used WAD Manger instead of PimpMyWii and it worked! Who knew. I still can't seem to load discs from the proper channel but it doesn't matter. Hopefully this post will help someone else out in the future.

Try launching USB Loader GX from HBC, if it still happens your USB GX may be outdated. In that case you need to look for USB Loader GX r1200 or higher.

Also update your GX channel with USB Loader GX-UNEO_Forwarder_5_1_AHBPROT.wad

Can I use DIOS MIOS 2.4 with USB Loader GX via EmuNAND? I only ask because I FINALLY got EmuNAND to work on USB Loader GX
