      • Try to install the game again (delete the old folder before)

What version USB Loaders? CFG Loader r48 or wiiflow v4.0.1 r431or USB Loader GX r1202,Replace the boot.dol in your SD or USB /apps/ usbloader_gx with the updated one. Are your USB Loader channels forwarders? Did you try from HBC first.
I am using USB Loader GX, my version is 1180. Which one of the three r1202s should i use? I don't know what the difference in the ios's is. And i load all my channels from the HBC. I should probably tell you that when I had the game on my USB, usb loader gx told me that there was no games at all on it, but when i had the game on my SD I could run it. Although it would lead me to that error. So I assume the USB I am using doesn't work. But I got the same error when I tried running SSBM from my SD on the Neothingy.

Okay so this is the 4th time I've type this Please ,No Profanity. comment out because it won't let me reply to you for whatever reason. I do not know which of the 3 USB Loader GX r1202 I need to use to replace my current one, which is 1108. They are forwarders I believe. I load everything from the HBC.

okay guys....so ive installed dios mios 2.2 with Wad manager 1.7. i got a new iso file (nfsU2) and threw it through discex and put it on my HDD. I go into dios mios booter, didnt change any settings...and the game started. I was able to hit start, go into the menus, and my system didnt die. But, there is no color, its in black and white.

(if i try and use NMM to save i dont load the game..looks like im finding a GC memory card!)

Edit** after changing my video setting to 480p NTSC. IT FINALLY LOADS A GAMECUBE GAME!!! WOO (installed dios mios2.2 with wad manager 1.7 to both IOS249 and 236

okay but now...none of my loaders will load it (still only getting the option to copy to sd)

Only being offered to copy to SD usually means your USB Loader is outdated, that's what happened to me at first. If you're sure you're using the latest (maybe check again anyway) then try removing the USB Loaders config file, sometimes, for reasons unknown, that can cause this issue.

you are right. needed to redo my manual update of usb loadergx. it is now loading from it, but is loading in black and white, tried changing it to forceNTSC480p like i did with bios mios booter (which worked) still in black and white...im almost there. So close to getting this right!

      I use r1202_IOS249 / boot.dol

USB Loader GX r1202 is the current one

Always use the USB Loader GX-UNEO_Forwarder_5_1_AHBPROT.wad to install the channel or you will have to load it from HBC, it will be r1202 even if it says another version.

      This is optional
      SNES_Master previous post:
"As for the HBC showing USB GX as r1180 when the app says it's r1200 that is because the betas don't include an update to meta.xml. The metal.xml is what contains the information show on HBC after clicking the app. All you need to do is open the meta.xml in a program that can read it (WordPad works but lately I've been using NotePad++) and look for the following tag

      <version>r1180</version>

Change the r1180 to r1200 and next time you look in HBC it should be changed to what you entered."

Is your system PAL or NTSC?

Hey, I've been trying to set this up for the past 18 hours and I'm stuck.

I followed the mod ANY wii to make sure everything is up to date, I downloaded the right versions of the usb loaders (usb loader gx, cfg) and I made sure that my usb hdd is formatted as fat32 with 32kb clusters. I made a folder called "games" on the root. I used DiscEX with my .iso file, and then put the folder it made into the "games" folder.

USB Loader GX does not show any gamecube games, and when I tried to run it in cfg it would blackscreen and freeze the Wii after showing the DIOS MIOS logo thingy.

I'm really sick of this not working, so any help would be really appreciated.

Make sure to check the box (top of the screen 2nd or 3rd from the right) click it and it will ask if you want to display GC games too. Also make sure your settings are set as page 1 of this thread recommends

My recommendation is to re-rip the game from your retail disc. I can't think of any reason for the games to be B/W other than mismatched region, so try that and see if it works.

try "Use global" if you are using USB Loader GX r1202

Did you install DIOS MIOS 2.2 wad for USB with Wad Manager 1.7 with IOS236 ?
And you try CFG Loader r48 and USB Loader GX r1202 ?(Replace the boot.dol in your SD or USB /apps/ usbloader_gx with the updated one.) I use r1202_IOS249 / boot.dol
Select loader mode: check GC Games
Loader Settings/ GameCube Mode/ MIOS (Default & Customs)
      USB Loader GX, go into settings>custom paths, and change the path from SD to USB1:/games/;

Thank you. I hadn't checked the box. Unfortunately, it wouldn't let me run the game using USB Loader GX r1202. I did get it working using r1201, however. I'm not sure why...

sometimes when you update USB Loader GX, you have to remove the GXGameSettings.GFG file in usbloader_gx app because it was set to use the old USB Loader GX, I am using USB Loader GX r1202 and it works perfect

Okay so I got my wii to load and play my GC games fine from my SD card. But now I can't figure out how to make them save. When i load smash bros a message pops up saying that there isn't a memory card plugged in, and that it won't save. I'm not sure how to go about fixing this.

Either turn on No More Memory or insert a real memory card.

My local GameStop carries lots of GC games but you can probably get them on eBay or Amazon too.

So the only way to save your games is to buy an actual gamecube memory card? you can't save on a usb or sd?

turn on No More Memory "NMM" and it will save to USB or SD, it works with most games but not all.

      Please use the Edit function.

You can save to SD, turn on No More Memory (aka NMM). Having a real memory card is just more convenient.
