hiryu76, your USB is FAT32 with 32KB cluster size, active, primary, first partition (USB1) GC games only works from the First partition of the Hard Drive, maybe you should re-install DIOS MIOS 2.2wad with WAD Mananger 1.7 to IOS236 and try again

Have re-installed usbloader gx and diosmios 2.2 wad many times

also when I try to update usbloader gx to the new beta it still shows up as version 3 r1180, but if I load up the same file through multi mod manager it shows up as the beta r1198 version (but only if i use MMM)
lastly, when using usbloader gx beta through MMM the gc games don't have copy to sd error, they just load up a black screen...

I have been trying to fix usb loader gx for 5 days now, I'll give you any more wii related info you need to help me get this fixed...

Yes to all the questions regarding how my USB is formatted. I used wiimod instead of WAD Manager to install the wads I have, does that matter? Also, SNES_Master, its an NTSC console and game.

hey i still cant get my GameCube controller to work with my games using dios mios 2.2.....loading through gx loader (no issues with loading)...just cant get the contoller to work the majority of games. I ended up reinstalling cmios v4 and i can play my disks copies fine.....buuuuuuut i would like to figure this usb meets controller issue

Try using Multi-Mod Manager or Wad Manager and use IOS236 for the install. I've never heard of the issue you're having, very strange. Out of curiosity have you tried switching back to standard AV cables the system came with and setting it back from 480p to 480i? It's possible the game(s) your trying just might not work on component cables, I know for a fact that some GC games (namely Mega Man X Collection) will not work with component cables...at all. Even if you force the game to run at 480p you will still get a black screen while you hear the game playing. I don't know for sure this is the same issue but it couldn't hurt for you to try the standard AV cables to check...assuming you haven't already tried that.

Another odd issue I've never heard of happening. You say the controller works via Disc Channel loading but USB loading it won't. How long ago did you hack your Wii and what guide did you use? Also what version of USB Loader GX are you using?

it wont work if i am using dios mios 2.2, no matter which loader i am using. I hacked it forever ago....but i keep it up to date,

I looked high and low for the standard A/V cables, can't find them so that is out the window. Also I am on component but the TV will only allow for 480i output. So switching from 480p is a moot point. I will try to re install the DIOS MIOS wad with the other WAD managers soon, also uninstall DIOS MIOS Loader and re rip my copy of SMB Sunshine in USB Loader GX for good measure.

Hey, My wii says "Wii System Update" in Wii menu disc channel, have already installed priiloader
Is this a new system update?

i followed the guide, installed v2.2 and set everything (d2x v8, 32k cluster, fat32, usb1:/games/GAMEID/ folder, usb 0 port, etc) and it worked, but it takes around 10 min to show the DIOS MIOS splash screen using the newest CFGLoader and the dios mios booter, any suggestion to make it load faster??

also, i lost the retail disc loading that supposedly was fixed in the 2.2 version... any help?

Wrong thread, but no. If you have Priiloader installed hold reset till the menu appears and enable "Block Disc Updates" and "Block Online Updates".

Alright well heres an update: I used wad manager with IOS236 to install dios mios 2.2 again, then I ripped a game (Toadstool Tour) with USB Loader GX r1200, tried running it and the same exact problem with the screen cutting out! I waited a bit and nothing, rebooted, tried again and the same thing even after fiddling with some settings then tried with wiiflow as well. Same exact thing happened. I decided to re install DM loader and it worked! No idea why but it worked right off with no meddling. Im going to try SMB Sunshine again and see if this is not a fluke...

Well spoke too soon! SMB Sunshine just gives me a solid black screen, which is a little different I guess Ughh..I am going to bed, maybe i'll mess around more tomorrow? :/

One more thing.. every time I try to install the new beta usbloader gx 3.0 r1198, in hbc it still shows up as r1180... it only shows up as r1198 if I load it directly from Multi Mod Manager.. The problem is that with r1180 I get the send to SD only message (when I do send it too my SD It just shows a black screen, and I have tried all the difffrent video resolutions) The r1198 beta does not have the SD Copy Problem, but it too loads a black screen.... Today I completely reinstalled my home brew using this guide http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-any-wii.html And no difference at all... I have also uninstalled/reinstalled the usbloader gx 3.0 and dios mios wad 2.2 many times (Like three)

Just let me know If you need any info about my system (Such as sys check)

Has anyone here used the Adonis formatter (Acronis?) that is mentioned in the dios mios tut yet? I fear my drive may be incompatible after all this and I wondered if I tried a reformat again, even though I followed the usb formatter tut for easus previously.

What kind of HDD do you have?
You could try another USB device and see if it works.

Well its a 500GB WD Passport SN:WDBACY5000ABK-01 I had formatted per the tut but EASUS didn't allow me to create the 32kb size once I selected FAT32, I took it on faith that it was correct when I formatted but evidently not. I have had no trouble with this HDD for anything else on the Wii. SO I am going to do this as it seemed last night when I was running the games with DM Loader, they were playing OFF THE DISC! :/ Not off the HDD, even when I picked the ISO to run, it played whatever game was in the Wii, which happened to be Toadstool Tour as I mentioned previously as working. So when I thought it was running off USB, it was not lol When I try my other options, I get the black screen and my hdd did nothing so I had to reboot the Wii. This is why I am arriving at the conclusion that a reformat might be necessary..
