I've been settings this up now and it works sometimes!

Most of the times i get stuck on the DIOS MIOS GC screen with having to reboot the Wii.

      Info:
      DM Version: 2.2
USB Loader: CFG r37 beta10 & USB Loader GX r1200

I tried both with compressed and uncompressed games, and it seems to be random, 8/10 times I get stuck on the DIOS MIOS screen.

I tried reinstalling MD 2.2 but that didn't do anything.

      Anyone know what's up?

      Cheers for the guide!

Are you using the forwarder or loading through HBC?

How do I'll get you working again?
Try USB Loader GX 3.0 r1200 and DIOS MIOS 2.2, make sure you've updated your forwarder channel to v5.1 or that you launch the USB Loader through HBC. Also make sure your HDD and loader settings are as the 1st page suggests.

I'm using a forwarder, USB Loader GX-UNEO_Forwarder_5_1_AHBPROT.wad to be exact, i tried the other one as well (USBLoader_GX_V3_0_UNLR_Channel_AHBPROT.wad) but I only got a promt to copy to SD with that one.

But it seems to be the same when using CFG as well, could that have something to do with the forwarder as well?

Are your games in the correct directory?

      USB1:/Games/GameID/game.iso

Yeah, they are, I used create_wad.bat.

      USB1:\games\G2VE08\game.iso (Viewtiful Joe 2)

      USB1:\games\G2VE08\sys\apploader.img
      USB1:\games\G2VE08\sys\bi2.bin

Hmm...which Loader are you using? Try USB Loader GX 3.0 r1200 and DIOS MIOS 2.2 if you're not already using them.

To fix the "copy to SD" message be sure to had the following settings:

GameCube Mode: MIOS (Default & Customs)
      DML Installed Version: v2.2+
      DML No Disc: Off
      DML No Disc+: Off

      See if that helps

All settings are as you described.
The "copy to sd" I got rid of by using r1200 and deleting the config-file, and using the 5.1 forwarder.

To install DIOS MIOS i used IOS 249 (r21007)

Ok, you could try installing DM with IOS236, it's possible 249 didn't install it correctly

I reinstalled with IOS 236, and re-downloaded DIOS MIOS 2.2 and verified sha1 checksum to be sure, no luck.

And appearently I haven't been using r1200 of USB Loader GX, it's still r1180, which comes with the 3.0 update.

I found a link a couple of pages back that says r1200 but it isn't.

I tried locating it but I can't find it?

Go to USB Loader GUIs google code page and click the issues section, it's in there.

      Ok, here's the deal

I was running r1200 (homebrew channel reported the wrong version, same with CFG)

And it all works if I launch either CFG or Usb Loader GX via HBC, but not if I launch them via forwarders.

What would be a correct way of installing forwarders for CFG r37 and USB Loader GX r1200?

And a couple of other questions as well.

      * How do I exit a Gamecube game back to USB Loader GX?
      * Is there any way to turn off that the Wii searches for a disc every time i boot a GC game?
      * How do I boot directly into USB Loader GX, bypassing Wii's main menu?

I realize these questions might belong in another thread, sorry about that.

      THanks SNES_Master for your help!

I managed to get it working with Dios Mios version 2.0 and Cfg USB Loader but now it randomly started flickering and I can see the game but it won't stop flickering making it impossible to play.

These games have worked in the past so I'm not sure what's wrong.

If it works via HBC but not the forwarder your forwarder is outdated. The reason it reports the wrong version on HBC is that when you DL the beta (which everything above r1180 is right now) it doesn't update the meta.xml file.

      1) I don't think you can, check the short cuts on page one, you can reboot or shut down.

      2) Not that I know of, when you click start you'll always here the disc drive spin. I believe this is cause DM tricks the system to think its reading from the drive but is really reading off USB

      3) You can have Priiloader do that, I'm not able to use my Wii at the moment to tell you exactly which setting but you can make it auto load to different things like HBC, WiiMC, USB Loader etc etc.

      Grab the forwarder here: http://code.google.com/p/usbloader-g...T.wad&can=3&q=

And what about nodisc support, is it better to just leave an original GC/Wii disc in the drive all the time, or is it not needed anymore?

      Cheers!

Sorry I'm guessing this is the wrong thread for this question, but is there a way to get games from other systems (N64/SNES etc) to be displayed in the same way that Wii/GC games are in USB Loader GX?

It is the wrong place, but no. No way to get NES, SNES, N64 etc etc to display box art and game details....not as far as I know anyway.
