probly be just as easy as anything else to put the original disc back in and re-rip them

I was making these discs using 'gamecube multigame iso creator'. this tool gives you 2 basic options - create a multigame iso and extract a game from a multigame iso
the problem is however, that I do not have the isos, only dvdrs
when i try to open such a disc, the directory shows only 3 files:
      boot.catalog
      bootldr.dol
      mfe-fs.bz2

and I can't do anything with them

You have to re-rip the games, I don't think there's a way to separate them back into the original single game ISOs.

Thanks for the reply. I forgot to mention that I have had an original gamecube game in the drive. Any other ideas?

looks like I will not have to re-rip
I have used nero to make an iso from a dvdr, now this gamecube multigame iso creator opens this iso and lets me extract separate games to separate isos
      just saved lots of bandwidth

Re-ripping doesn't use bandwidth lol. Just stick your retail disc in the system, launch "CleanRip 1.0.5" and it'll generate an ISO on your USB or SD.

I'm using dios mios 2.2, and installed using wad manager 1.7. Everything went fine. I'm also using USB loader GX, and installed a gamecube game using the same process that I would a Wii game. That worked fine too, installed onto a USB thumb drive formatted to FAT32 with a 32kb cluster, set to active and primary. I had no problems up to the point where I wanted to load the game and it didn't give me the option, it only gave me the option to "copy or view SD card" I DID go into the options and make the "Main Gamecube path" to "USB1" Why is that option not available? Has anyone else encountered this problem? Thank you in advance
Try wiiflow or Cfg usb loader newest version, they both work perfect with diosmios 2.1.wad

Everything appeared to install perfectly. I then formatted my harddrive to FAT32 with 32kb cluster size (and verified it did this successfully) and put Animaniacs (from the same region) onto the drive like the guide says. When I go to CFG loader the game appears no problem. As soon as I try to run it, the screen goes black for a couple of seconds, then my wii restarts itself.

I have already done plenty of searching to try to find out what is wrong, but have not found a solution yet. Does anyone have any suggestions?
      Please Use the EDIT Function.
Please Read The Rules As Well.

DIOSMIOS_2.1.wad. If using CFG loader, change the settings to DM. This work for me

Managed to find a v2.1 WAD, installed it under 236, and it worked! Thanks for pointing out that 2.2 doesn't work, SNES.

Although it only works with my Sandisk flash drive - it would seem my Seagate 1TB Backup Plus STCA1000100 isn't compatible (I just bought it yesterday for the purpose of putting all my games on, too). Or at least it's not compatible yet, hopefully it will be in a future release. [Yes it's FAT32, 32kb-cluster (confirmed by chkdsk), single-partition, primary, and active ]

My Wii is in the shop till next week
Here's the fun info, the shop guy put in New Super Mario Bros. and played it for 30+min, no problems. I told him try a GameCube game, called back 40min later and he tells me that for GC it pulls the disc in, spins it but then just stops (same thing I noticed). What do you all think of this? He says it's is most likely the laser so their putting a new one in but he said it could also have something to do with the Homebrew, I agree with this conclusion and (strongly hope it's only the laser) but I'm curious as to if anyone else can think of any other possible reasons for it to be acting like this. I've tried NUS Downloader and ModMii to get new BC v6 and MIOS v10 and I installed them with IOS236 (should I have used a different IOS?) and no change.

The reason I'm posting this here in this thread, it may seem out of place but isn't, is because though I was having issues with GC disc read errors even before this program, DM seems to have made it worse. Anyway, thanks for any input you guys can provide

Edit: @ibm2431, no problem. Happy to help.

Ios236 is perfectly fine to use installing any wad files.
It could be it's just a fluke that the drive got worse when you started to mess with DM,you said yourself the drive was having problems with GC games.
I honestly don't believe HBC had anything to do with it,My wii still plays all backups (GC/WII ) with no problems and I had this wii since 2008.
Backup disc put a lot of stress on your laser, that's why as soon as Usb loading came along I jumped on the band wagon.
Never really liked playing the GC games through the wii, because of the Wired controller, so I kinda lucked out.

Please Keep this thread On Topic.

Sorry, didn't realize I was going off topic as my post pertained somewhat to DIOS MIOS. In any case, USB Loading Wii and/or GC games is a life saver for my Wii. I just hope the game support increases (and that my Wii's "disc read errors" can be fixed), looking at the list on the google code page 4 of my games aren't working fully...can't test them myself as my Wii refused to rip them

I might need to apologize to crediar - it may be that DM v2.2 is/was fine (it apparently removes the need for a gamecube disc to be in the drive), but USB Loader GX didn't support the new behavior.

Looking at the commit history, r1197 of USB Loader GX (released 6 hours ago) is supposed to add support for DM v2.2. I'm not able to verify it myself right now, but if the reader is having issues with DM v2.2 through GX, try r1197+. I don't know about compatibility with other loaders, though.

I unfortunately don't have my Wii right now so I can't test that out but I will have to look up USB Loader GX r1197, I wasn't aware there was a r1197. Last I tested DM 2.2 was with r1193 so I know it won't work with that.

Edit: I'll have to watch the Googlecode page for USB Loader GUI a little closer lol. They've been making almost weekly releases (as betas of course) that I never knew about aside from r1193 mod02.

Well I figure since not all NGC had digital out port (for Comp cables) they had to fit games in 16x9 on 4x3 sets, so my assumption is these were Anamorphic...

As for Eternal Darkness, I don't know if it's implemented correctly by my Wii and possibly a combination the loaders I am using (Devo and DM). The reason for this is when I go to settings, I change the Standard to 16X9 (Widescreen) and it still doesn't fill the screen. I was really hoping the Widescreen hack would work on this game.

Remember some NGC games made you hold B at boot to enable 480p. I am wondering how DM handles games such as Paper Mario that only boots when you have 480i enabled?? Does it switch to progressive when it asks you to enable progressive? Anyone get 2.2 to work also??

That app you used to make these games let you rip them back to ISO... I converted many of my games to this also and exported to ISO. They of course will be scrubbed..

Look up USB Loader GUI Googlecode and click the issues section. They get posted there as Mediafire links

Screw it, I'll just link it lol

      http://code.google.com/p/usbloader-g...wner%20Summary

Supposedly the latest revision (r1197) works perfectly with DM 2.2. Can anyone confirm this?

Was able to find it and download it thru u'r link... I haven't been able to find verification that it takes care of the DM 2.2 problems yet...

Thanks again... I would not have thought to look under issues....
