You should be needing a disk in the system to play games anymore like you used to. You can still try it to see if it works. It won't hurt anything.

And as for your apps, syscheck isn't for apps, but it checks your IOS/cIOS/Mios files and reports what versions and mods they are and have. Your syscheck looked good. (most of the cIOSs at the end with v8final and DiosMios was detected at the end. So if you have the latest apps (GX r1209, CFG r51, WiiFlow 4.1) and things still aren't working, maybe we have a hard drive incomaptibility? What was the issue you were having again?

the issue is with wiiflow I get fatal error apploader size is zero, in CFG it tries to move the game to my sd card, and in usb loader the GC games don't show up at all. I was reading another post that made me think of something should I be launching the loaders through HB Channel? Also one more noob question with usbloader gx the file in your sig when I download it it gives me 3 separate folders and all have boot.dol and boot.elf files in them how do I put these on my SD card for version 1209 sorry if I am asking a dumb question and thanks for the help.

The "apploader size is zero" and "copying to SD" are indications that your loaders are not current.

For the three directories in the GX r1209 .rar file, I've been told you should try the 249 one first. Then copy the boot.dol file from there into the "sd:/apps/usbloader_gx" directory, overwriting your old one (you should rename the old one first, just in case you want to revert). Then you also want to find the global config file (either in the same directory, or in sd:/config or usb:/config) and delete it so it's recreated with all defaults.

and should I be loading these through the homebrew channel or the usbloader channel?

Well screw it I keep getting fatal error even though I updated everything the hdd compatibility list shows my hdd as being compatible but I keep getting errors so I think I am going to install dml and put the games on an sd card what card do you recommend?

Don't double post. Edit your last post, please.

If you are using a forwarder, check the version it's running. It may be running the older version and you'll have to reinstall the forwarder to work with the newest version. To be sure you're running the new version, run it from HBC directly.
(I don't use forwarders for this reason, too much hassle for the little benefit they give)

sorry if I double posted. how do I know if I have a forwarder? I used Mauifrogs guide so whatever is included in his dl's is what I have if that helps.

Those loaders in that guide are all forwarders.
This is how you can tell , take out your sd card and load up USB loader gx, if it returns you to the Wii menu, then you have a forwarder.

Forwarder channels always look to the sd card for the program you are trying to load, so when it can't find it , it will return you to the Wii menu.

      Sent from my IPhone,Jax.

So how can I get a loader that is not a forwarder? everything I find here seems to be a forwarder then.

We usually frown upon non-forwarder channels, just because it requires you to update the channel every time that there is a new version of the app. Where a forwarder will run whatever it finds on the SD card. Why do you want a non-forwarders channel?

And as I said before, I don't even try to use them. I prefer to go through HBC directly. I feel I have more control over exactly what is being run.

Well now I am just confused you say "we usually frown upon non-forwarder channels" but then you say you never use them. So should I be installing the full channel or the forwarder channel? why are they different?

Personal choice. And I think I detailed the differences in my last message.

And due to the problems that you're having, I PERSONALLY to not use them.

K, I'm having one major problem and its that I can't see the game cube games on the usb drive, I'm able to see and play my wii games on it, so my usb drive should be compatible, Right? I've pretty much read everything on the guide but no success. I've formated it and set it to primary, active, fat32,cluster 32, installed dio mios 2.8 wad twice accidently, I created a folder called games and used dm tools to opitimize the games I have into that folder, I updated wiiflow to 4.1 and it still shows me nothing but a install disc button and a select partition button. What am I missing or what could be my problem? I was given a source folder with the dio mios file but didn't do anyhtihing with it because I read its just something for programmers to look at?

Select the partition the games are on then click the "filter" button and click the GameCube symbol.

I gave up on trying to put my GC games on a usb device there are so many external hdd's it is hard to find one that is compatible. I just ended up buying a 32gb sd card for 19.99 and putting my games on it the sd card works great with no probs and really unless you want/have like 100 GC games which I doubt the 32 gb card will do you well and your stress level will go down from trying to figure it all out. Peace bro.

ON USB Loader GX, after selecting any game and pressing "Start" to play, it asks me if i want to copy/delete the game onto/on my SD card, which i dont want to since the games are already ripped into my HDD. I figure the problem is my games are in USB2. I tried changing my FAT32 partition to Active,Primary but for some reason i still get the same problem (still considered USB2 and not USB1)

Question is how do you change it to USB1 and not USB2?

Change all partitions on USB HDD to logical and then change the FAT32 to primary 1st plus active and then the other partition to primary so the FAT32 is the 1st partition (USB1) and the other partition is 2nd partition (USB2)

There is a compatibility list, check it and find a drive that is confirmed working with DM. Or check out Devolution (guide linked in signature) for USB loading GC games and see if your HDD works with that.

Wow, i got it to work, and I'm amaze in how you guys responded so fast to help, thanx, I appreciate it. This is what I just did just right now, I loaded up wiiflow 4.1, I accidently click install disc from my wii and I stopped it half way by prematurely shutting it down, which I shouldn't have really done and have no clue what problems I might recieve in the future but after reloading the wii and wiiflow program I can see the wii game I incorrectly installed and then I saw the game cube logo at the bottom right of the screen, I clicked on it and there it was, and I loaded one of them up and it works, all I'm missing is my gamecube controller, so I had to shut it down manually. YCbYCr2BMP.exe is this program suppose to help me shut it down with the wii remote? because I forgot to put it in my SD card and where exactly would I have to put it?

YCbYCr2BMP.exe is to convert game screenshots you can take with a GC controller. You cannot play GC games with anything but a GC controller.

Last night I followed the guide and everything worked great! I woke up this morning and put another game on the HDD and both games now give me a black screen. I tried deleting the second game as I knew the first worked fine, still a black screen. I read the first six pages of the thread to see if my issue came up and found nothing and as much as I would like to say that I read all 192 pages of the thread to find a solution I did not. Any help is greatly appreciated and I also appreciate this guide as my Wii disc drive is super loud and this has allowed me to play my GC games again without the annoyance of a loud drive.

UPDATE: After much fiddling and doing the same things over and over...it worked again and works fine now...not sure what that was about but hurray, I can play games again.
