DM only works off of USB. It won't run anything off of the SD card.

Not sure if this would help, but maybe we could get a couple system checks posted, and someone in the know could figure something out from there. I have full functionality with DM, using USB loader GX, and I will get a system check up in a few minutes for comparative purposes.

No game has ever worked for me, and I only have SSBM and double dash for GameCube, I planned on getting more games if I could get this to work. And sorry what settings are you talking about? the no disc settings?

      Here's mine:

      Spoiler

I'm not sure why it says "Drive date unknown". Sometimes I scan it that happens other times it tells me. My drive date is 2007. Also I have tried both MIOS v10 and v65535 and experienced the same results.
P.S. does it matter which IOS I use to install the MIOS or DIOS MIOS? Cause I've been doing it with 236, though I've also tried 249 and noticed no difference.

Sorry for the double post but this must be shared:

I somehow (not completely sure) got it working, playing Wind Waker off my 8gb flashstick right now

I must report though that according to USB Loader GX I've only ripped 70-75% of the game. For some reason it stopped at that point and said "INSTALL COMPLETED SUCCESSFULLY". Thank you everyone especially cwjakesteel for the patience as I figured this out problem. Should anymore arise I'll be sure to post it back here so it can be figured out .

      Again, major major thank yous!

No Problem,Next time...Please use the Edit Function.

Only partially though. So far I've tried ripping 7 of my retail discs and only 1 has "successfully" installed lol....1 failed 43% in another 28% in, the rest never made it past 5%. Still got more trials to run lol.

Problem now is still reading, if I could somehow get them onto my HDD they may load without issue (judging off Zelda) but I can't say for sure. I don't know how to rip a GC disc on my laptop :P

Edit: sadly I CAN'T rip GC games with my laptop, my drive isn't compatible

I have full functionality as well. PhineasT's windy whyndy English makes it sound like he's trying to run USB games with DML. Are you?

How do I post a system check? do I need to download an app for that?

      Glad to hear it!

SNES, I notice that from your sys check you are using rev 21008 for all of your d2x. For mine I use rev 65556 or something to that extent (it's the only one with so much 5's and 6's)

Yes, look in Homebrew browser for "SysCheck" after you run the update, upload it and it will give you a web address. Type it your web browser on your computer and then copy past it.

Also I think we should get a HDD compatibility list going somewhere (unless there is one?). I can report my Seagate GoFlex Ultra-Portable Drive Plug and Play. 640gb is NOT compatible. My San Disk Cuezer 8gb does work.

Edit: where do I get the d2x you use? That may be helpful in improving my...situation lol.

It's in the latest d2x installer. That is, the one for version 8. You just have to change the rev from 21 to 65. It gives you the option when selecting what exactly you want to install.

I'll have to check that out later and see if there's any improvement. Right now the top of my list is finding a compatible DVD drive to rip my GC games with since my Wii's failing to do it.

One more thing I'd like to know is do you know if there's any program to copy saves from a GC memory card to like SD or USB or something? I'd like to backup my saves as well if possible.

I don't think it will be an improvement. Since someone else posted rev 21 when DIOS MIOS worked for them.

That's ok, I'll keep what I have for now. Currently my main task is finding some way to back up my GC discs my Wii doesn't want to read. So far of my 18 GC games the only one I've gotten to rip 100% (using CleanRip 1.0.5) is Zelda Wind Waker.

My comps drive is not compatible with GC games, neither is my parents so I'm not sure what to do next.

Jake you're probably having trouble with my New York accent.

I'm running DML games off of SD card with no problem with DMLr59. Also running original GC game no problem with DMLr59.

HOWEVER.... any version later than DMLr59 doesn't work. And using DM to run any games off of USB or a GC game disks hangs with a black screen.

I'll post my syscheck shortly. I won't have time to get a new Wii till the weekend to test the installation from scratch.

If its hanging on a black screen your HDD may not be compatible. I know this was the case for me, try using a SanDisk flash stick if you have one as my 8gb Cruzer let's me boot Zelda Wind Waker no problem. Hopefully future updates will improve HDD compatibility so we can all keep our Wii and GC games on one drive.

Your Ios's are outdated and HBC is running off of Ios 61 instead of Ios 58.
You are missing Ios 58 as well.

Wow, To update them I should just download them and install them with wad manager?

Yea! It seems like them being outdated isn't an issue.

After installing ios58 you would need to re-install the Homebrew channel.
You should check out the Soft Mod any wii guide.

That's because it doesn't use ios/cios to run GC games it uses Dios Mios.
