DSi System Update 1.4.4 Released

Nintendo has released another update for the Nintendo DSi today known as 1.4.4 in Europe and US and 1.4.5C in China. This new update updates the Nintendo DSi Camera and it's said to block flashcards as well. More info will be added to this thread so make sure to check often.

If you updated please comment to tell if your flashcard has been blocked by this update or not.

Ok, i am kind of coufused now Can you make me clear about your problem. And so now your r4i gold 3ds card is working now, but your r4i sdhc 3ds is not working great, correct? I just fell mixed by them...lol

Sorry for confusing you.
The gold card of my sons is now working after the upgrade using the dslite.. The thing that is confusing to me is on my R4i 3DS card all games work.. The software for this card is from R4I-SDHC.COM.

On my sons R4i Gold card the games that work on my card will not work on his. His software comes from www.R4IGOLD.CN...
Why would all games work on my card and not his.

I can confirm the updates from the r4i sdhc website are very good, and they release one monthly.

Dunno about the r4i gold tho. You can check the release date of the last update.

Well, the only thing i can answer is the game compatibility is different for the two cards. But both of them are very good, so just update both of your cards to the latest firmware, if there are some games can not work, just wait until next update. That is not about the flashcard problem, your card is still working i think.

I purchased R4i-Gold card for my son's DSi at www.R4I-GOLD.EU. Our DSi is upgraded to V1.4.4U, sometime in the first week of May 2012. Since then it is blocking R4i Gold card. Before to this R4I Gold was working fine. Please let me know how could make R4i Gold card work on our DSi. I would really appreciate your help and thanks in advance for taking some time and providing the solution.

Hi Veeram. because you updated your DSi to 1.44 before you update your flashcart, so your flashcart can not work on the new firmware DSi. Now you need to update your flashcard with a DSL cosnole, look at this page link: R4i-GOLD Revolution for NDSi/NDSL/NDS there is a UPGRADE FIRMWARE AREA, if your card is "3DS" version, just download the first one, if your card is the "V1.xx" version, just use the second. After you download the patct, you will also need to download the latest firmware in the page, V1.60b for now. then put the firmware files and the patch file in the root directory of your sd card. then plug the sd card and your flashcart in the DSL, run the update patch to update your card.

There is also a read me txt there to help you. If you still can not do it, just post your error here. i will try!

I've updated my daughter's nintendo DSi XL to ver 1.4.4E ((((
I have a card from R4i-GOLD Revolution for NDSi/NDSL/NDS (v1.4.1 that is NOT the 3DS one)

What can I do ((

hey take a look at this page, R4i-GOLD Revolution for NDSi/NDSL/NDS there said " How to upgrade products labeled "V1.4.X" for NDSI 1.44 (2012-05-05)" please take a look and try to update your card with a DS Lite. if you can not find a DS Lite or can not update it successfullt, pls just buy another flashcart instead, acekard 2i (this one: http://www.dsflashcart.com/acekard-2...3ds-p-251.html) or R4i gold 3ds, dstwo will be the top 3, dont buy other bad cards.

1. I formatted the card using the Panasonic tool
2. Copied the latest Kernel (1.62b)
3. copied the upNDSIv144C5.nds in the SD Root
4. Used a friends DS Lite, turning on by sliding the button and pressing A button
5. it went to the card, selected GAMES
6. there were 2 files, moon..... (don't remember the exact name) and the upNDSIv144C5.nds
7. selected the upNDSIv144C5.nds file
8. and it says "www.r4i-gold.eu NDSI 1.44 C5 update Sorry, the card is not supported, please power off now!!"

Am I doing something wrong??????????????

Where is the best place to buy theses cards at least in Europe so it wouldn't take so long????

sorry, i personally dony know a europe based site, because most europe countries banned the flashcart. the site i recommend is a USA based site: Buy acekard 2i, r4i gold 3ds, dstwo, ace3ds flashcards for low prices-dsflashcart.com usually arrive in europe in about 10 days i think. but you can try to google it to find a local one, and be careful of the China sites, the site is in english or other languages, but actually they ship from china. and also just choose one card from Acekard 2i, r4i gold 3ds from r4ids.cn and dstwo.

Hi,

I recently updated my Nintendo DSi to 1.4.4U, and I updated my R4i 1.4.1 WiFi to the Kernel 1.61b English from R4i-sdhc website.

The error it says when I try to load up my R4i is:

"An error has occurred. Press and hold the Power Button to turn the system off. Please see the Nintendo DSi Operations Manual for help troubleshooting".

I made sure I got the update for my card. I already reformatted my card and my DSi. I am running out of ideas of what to do.

Is there a way I can make my R4i card work with my DSi again?

My R4i card is the one marked with 1.4.1 and it is a WiFi logo on there as well. In the best it has worked flawlessly.
