In fact,at present,several cards have bypassed blocked,such as dstwo,r4i gold 3ds,r4isdhc 3ds,ismart mm,r4itt and so on. I just wonder when will ak2i can work on v1.44,for i was so stupid update my dsi frimware to 1.44.... =(

I have been handed an Acekard 2i that was in the DSi when they updated the Console. It is Dead. It seems to have killed the firmware. Card no longer recognised in DS lite or DSi. I have read that you must update Card firmware first, before accepting nintendo update. I have another card running AKAIO 1.8.9 which does still work in the 1.4.4 DSi, Any comments on a recovery solution welcome please.

i just upgraded my dsi to V 1.4.4U

i hate it' i dunno what to do!
is there any solution for this problem????

You just need to take a DSL console to update your flashcart! by the way, which flashcart do you have, i can show you the guide to update it.

Hey Gramps. Did you sort it out yet?
You probably would need to borrow a friend's DS that has firmware of a previous version to put your Acekard 2i in, and then flash this Acekard 2i with the latest Acekard 2i firmware update. Then it will work with Sony's latest Nintendo firmware in your other DS units.

My little nephew updated the DSi to the new version 1.4.4,but now the R4DS
card is not working, n show ERROR !

Now how do i update the R4 ??

Can you tell me what is the official site of his R4ds card, because there are so many different R4 cards in the market, and the update methods are different depends on which card you have. if your card is r4i gold 3ds from r4ids.cn, here is the video guide for you.

I bought my son a DSI XL today and had already bought an R4 Gold card.. The firmware that i was told to download would not work on it. the site i have to go on to download is www.r4igold.cn. I finally found firmware on another webpage but only a few games worked..I was getting error messages.. Im not sure why as the first r4 card my son had for his dslite the games worked perfectly.. For some reason they arnt working with this card. Keeps coming up Rom loading Failed. load rom errcode=-4 please reset system.
Never had this problem on my ds lites.
Anyway i thought i would just set up his ds for him as he asked to download something from the ds shop. As i went to do this it said there was a system update that needed to be done before he could go to the shop. So unknowingly we did the update..Now when i put the card in i get an error straight away saying
An error has occurred
Press and Hold the POWER Button to turn the system off.
Please refer to the nintendo DSI Operations Manual for detail.
Is there anyway i can get my sons dsi xl firmware downgraded so the R4i card will work again??
Or is there a fix out there i dont know about yet.. My son is devastated as all he wants to do is play his games.
I have been reading up on here in regards to upgrading the flashcart onto another dsi with earlier version..How would i do that?
The card i have is a R4i 3DS Gold upgrade revolution for ds.Thats what it says on the box.

Yeah, you need to update your card with a DSL console. but before that, you need to figure out what is the official site of the card, because you need to download the update patch from there.

I have downloaded the software upgrade from r4igold.cn.. i have unzipped it and now have put it onto the micro sd card.. I am now doing a firmware upgrade on the card. Will let you know how i go..Fingers and toes are crossed.

Step1: Format your SD card, a clean SD card will be better, we recommend that. Remember to back up your games or other files to your PC.

Step2: Download the latest r4i gold 3ds firmware from here: ftp://r4idsdown:r4idsdown@www.r4ids.co.cc/Wood_R4iGold_V1.48.rar Extract it, you will get one folder and other three files. Just copy the folder "__rpg" and the file "_DS_MENU.DAT" to your root of your sd card.



Step3: Download the update patch for 3DS V4.0.0-7 from here: r4i gold update patch for 3DS V4.0.0-8 Extract it,you will get two files named "R4iGold3DS_V144_Patch_NDSi.nds" and "R4iGold3DS_V144_Patch_NDSL.nds", if you use the DSL to do the update, you need to copy the first one "R4iGold3DS_V144_Patch_NDSi.nds" to your SD card, otherwise, if you use an non updated DSi to do the update, you copy the second file to the SD card. So in the end, there are only three files in your sd card. There are: "__rpg" folder, "_DS_MENU.DAT" file and update patch file named "R4iGold3DS_V144_Patch_NDSi.nds"



Step4: Put the SD card in your r4i gold 3ds and then insert it to your DSL console. Power on the DSL, click the Sponge Bob icon and access to the wood menu. Find out the update patch file and click it.


Step5: Important: Take out the r4i gold 3ds card and then reinsert it into the DSL, then press A to start the update, when the update begins, just wait until it finishes.


Notice: make sure your DSL is full charged and do not power off the DSL during the update process.

You are very welcome speaking of your other R4i 3ds card from r4i-sdhc.com. You mean some games can run on your 3DS and some can not ? if that, it is not the update problem, maybe it is just the game compatibility. I dont have a 3DS.. They are both DSiXL's . One is my sons which the card is gold with a red 3D in a black star and my card is a black one with a green 3DS on it.. Software from 2 different websites and some games play on mine but not his.. He gets this message on his.
rom loading failed. load rom errcode=-4 please reset system.
Why would it work on mine and not his.?
