As long as you can select DVD ROM as a book type before burning the disc, then the brand of DVD burner shouldn't matter. Not all DVD burners support DVD ROM, but most of the newer burners should support it. I used to burn all my DIVX movies to a DVD +R data disc to view in my DVD player and couldn't figure out why my Wii would read them, then I remembered that I never set the book type to DVD ROM for viewing discs with my DVD player. As far as I'm concerned, DVD +R is better than DVD -R, for movies and data and in general use, but with the Wii a DVD -R is the better disc.

I do disc loading only. I'm running r9 v50 with the cios switcher to load games. On Modern Warfare 3 guide it says to use neogamma r9 b47... I just deleted my r9 b47 channel. I have Neogamma r9 b47 wad file, and I have something that was linked above...Neogamma_Forwarder_Channel _NEOF_249. I don't know what to do now. I've tried using MMM to install both the older version of Neogamma, and the forwarder channel. It failed. Maybe I needed to put the neogamma wad file in the wads folder ?

You need to extract the download from page 1 directly to the root of your SD card. Then install the Forwarder Channel using a wad managing app such as MMM.

Wouldn't switch to correct cios for many games..., Guitar hero 5, and more... is there a way I can use cios switcher? How about if I have a NeoGamma.cfg file in the neogamma folder on root of sd card ?

Maybe you don't have the correct cIOS? Post a syscheck.

Yep. You don't have the correct cIOS. Follow the softmod any guide and you'll be good to go.

I followed the guide again. Working great now. No problems anymore. Hopefully I won't need to update my softmod again for a while, but if I do.... I'll just re-do the whole thing again. I think patching up here n there for a problem backup or 2 is what gets the cios all out of whack. I'm very happy with this version of Neogamma.

Hey all, i'm kind of new to this stuff but i've been having some trouble with neogamma and i can't fix it. I burned the Metroid Prime Trilogy to a DVD+R DL and whenever i put it in my wii and try to run it through neogamma it doesn't work. i keep getting "Error: Not a wii/gc disc" and no error number. i know that +R isn't recommended but it was all i had access to and i burned it at 2.4x. all help is appreciated!

If I remember correctly, when burning +R's the book type has to be set to DVD-ROM.

I'm having trouble with neogamma. I just softmodded my wii and all of the other loaders can detect my external hd but only neogamma says no wbhs partition found

      Hi folks,

I've recently softmodded my Wii following mauifrog's excellent guide. I've had no problems with playing Wii backups. I'm feeling nostalgic now so I'm trying to get Neogamma R9 Beta 56 to work with some of my Gamecube games. I'm using Verbatim DVD-R (but the dreaded Life Series manufactured by CMC... I may get some new discs soon) and I made a custom .iso with MultiGame ISO Creator v4.0.4. So I start Neogamma and load up the disc. I don't get any errors really, it just says "Drive 20070213 OK!" and then goes back to the previous menu. So I'm pretty certain I have Wiigator cmios installed from using the mauifrog's guide, and Neogamma is up to date, so I'm not sure if I need to do anything else to get DVD-R backups working.

I'm currently burning a single ISO to see if the problem was with the Multigame ISO creator tool. I'll also try alternate DVD-R media tomorrow after I get a chance to run to the store. In the meantime, is there anything else I need to do with the issue above?

      Thanks

This file for the forwarder (copied from Softmod ANY Wii guide)
      This file for full channel.

Updated to make the wads as zips. Please note that files will get deleted after 1 month if not downloaded frequently.

      Hi,

I have Neogamma installed as a channel and I would like to save the config so I don't have to Force NTSC each time for my pal games. Is there a way?

      Thanks
