• MAME Wii v1.0

MAME Wii is an Arcade Emulator based on SDLMAME. Many games for early arcade boards can be played with varying amounts of success. Unlike the previous SDL MAME for the Wii, this release is not based on Wii Linux.

    Changelog

Rewritten frontend code entirely, no longer uses SDL.
Added better joystick support; Gamecube joystick works!

Nice, I'm gonna have to test this one out. Hope it's better than SDL MAME cause so far that one isn't working well for me.

Is there some particular way in which I can make standard games like Donkey Kong regular size and not stretched across the entire screen? The SDL Mame had this option.

Never mind. Upon install, the horizontal stretch is turned all the way up. One thing I will say, which is critically noticeable in Donkey Kong is the old version does not have scratchy noise or static. This newer version does. Back to the older version on Homebrew Browser.

Anything with the term "MAME" attached to it is God IMO, so thanks!

A question, what # release version of the actual MAME romsets does this MAMEWii 1.0 release support? That's important info!

According to WiiBrew, it's based on MAME 0.134u4.

Does the new MAME support loading roms from a network share yet? I've got the one installed from the HBB but I can't seem to get it to load from the network. If not, I seen other projects notes that talk about just linking to a certain library at build time and then you can use paths like smb://<ip address>/sharename
