Updating from the channel will also update your system menu, and that will remove your softmod.

Thank you, so the only way to update from the channel is to be on 4.3 right?

Well I'm not sure about what that will do - but the best way to be sure that your softmod will not be erased is to follow this guide.

EDIT: Blu beat me to it

DOUBLE EDIT: Since blu's post has disappeared, his answer to your problem was "no".

Load any region changer and see what your shop channel setting is. Make sure it matches the region of you wii.

Hi, I swear I searched and went trial-and-error before posting but I can't seem to figure out how to update the Shop Channel. I am trying to download the Netflix Channel. I am on the 4.3U OS with the softmod. I tried to follow both the online and offline methods but I think I am missing something. Please excuse me if this is a stupid question, but what is/where do I find Wii Mod 3.0? Unfortunately, I am stuck on that step. Can anyone give a more detailed tutorial?

What is the "src" folder for and where do I put it?
    1. qwerty87133's Avatar

Not sure what the src folder is for but if you navigate through the card folder all the way to the Wii Mod folder, copy and paste that into the App folder on your SD card. You'll then be able to access it in the HomeBrew channel on the Wii.

So I put both "src" and "card" folders in my "apps" folder?

I think you just navigate into the card folder until you get to the Wii Mod folder and copy that into the Apps folder.

But there is one little big problem. There are 2 "wiimod" folders. One in the "card" folder and the other one in the "src" folder. Which one do I put in the card? Do I need the one in the "src" folder or not?

Just go with the one in the card folder. It's the one that has the boot.dol file that you need.

The src folder and it's contents are for developers. All you need is to copy the wiimod folder containing boot.dol to the apps folder on the sd card.
