Update the Wii Shop Channel with this guide. The Shop Channel runs off IOS 56 not having it will result in a 002 error. In this guide I'll be giving instructions for Wii Mod v3.0. Download it from here Wii Mod v3.0

NOTE: Korean or Darkcorp 1.1 users only need to download the Shopping Channel wad for their region; you already have the required IOS. Download it from the offline installation spoiler

Are you extracting the files? Use winzip or winrar. And make sure the folder stucture is like this:

      Sd:/apps/wiimod/boot.dol

Sent from my iPod touch using WiiHacks

So following the guide, looks simple enough. My only question is what version of ios needs installed, im assuming the 5662 is most recent so i installed that. What patches need applied. Seems like last time i updated an IOS i went yes on fakesign, nand permissions, and es identify but its been awhile. Any help would be
appreciated. Trying to get shopping channel update so i can download the latest version of netflix.

I have already completed guide and get the error when trying to install netflix. Installing on wii system memory, does it need to be installed on sd card??

If you are getting a six digit error from N about not being able to download/install netflix, go ahead and select all 3 patches on IOS56 v5662 and install it again.

I did that right after my last post and still receive the same error code. A 6 digit number from nintendo. The wii was softmodded about a year ago using the tut on here. Dont know of thats old enough that something else might need updated.

      Thanks

I'm also having the same problem as Stomper.

I'm having trouble getting into the Wii Shop Channel.

I have v20 of the Shop Channel and IOS56 (v5662) installed.

However, when I try to get into the shop, I receive this error: 205686. Not sure what to do.

UPDATE: It works now, I used ModMii to update everything.

Hey I follow the steps in the guide, and I get to the step where its installing the shop channel, then the wii gives me "error: -1035". It says a title with a higher version is already installed. But I still get error 002 when I try and access the shop channel. I also get the 002 error with netflix, but everything else runs fine but those 2 apps.

I have wii 4.2U with homebrew, etc.
I had updated my Shopping Channel using an older guide in which I updated the IOS56-64-v5662 and Shopping Channel-NUS-v20 using WAD Manager.
I read this today, tried to go onto Shopping Channel thinking that I have the most recent version (v20) and it is asking me to update!!!
So I shut down Wii and kept on reading...
Apparently, there is some other Shopping Channel update that I am missing...however, this thread appears to be the refreshed guide.
How can I safely update my Shopping Channel.
Is there a link to Mod Mii v3?

UPDATE: I located the Mod Mii App and I am trying this now...

UPDATE 2: All set! This guide left a lot of steps out...but I got it. For example, you need to change the IOS first, then install the shop channel, then install IOS 56, but it did not say which one.

I need a little help. haven't done much of this type stuff before. I followed the guide, changed the IOS to 36, install shop wad for NTSC, installed IOS 56 V5662.
shop channel opened, i agreed to the terms. When it relaunched it told me that the shop is not available for my region. I changed the IOS to 236 same problem.
except now when i try to go to the shop for a game it loads then gives me error code: 205625, exit the game and start the wii shop channel. please note that it may not currently be available in your region.

as far as i know i have everything updated, and have a NTSC wii.

Is your wii region changed? Did you follow the offline or online method?

If it's not working for you at the present time then go to the Latest IOS and Channels as Wads thread in my signature and download the shop v20 and ios56 from there and install using wad manager.

      Hi all

I tried this earlier this evening and seem to have messed something up.

Got a UK Wii (can't remember if it's 4.2 or 4.3 atm) and wanted to put BBC iPlayer on. Went to the shop channel and said it needed to update. So I found this thread and hoped it would work.
I did the online guide but found I didn't have IOS56 installed. When I tried installing it I got messages telling me it wasn't on the SD card.
So I used the link in the offline guide to download it, put it on the SD card and installed it.
It seemed to go ok so I then went to change it from my current (58 I think) to 56.
When I pressed A to confirm it the Wii made a noise like it had just been turned on or was going back to the system menu. Nothing happened on screen for a while and the remote wasn't responding so I turned it off and back on. When it came back on none of the remotes would connect. Eventually it went through to the system menu but still none of the remotes responded (just flashing lights).

Does anyone have any idea what i've done/what I can do?

      Help appreciated!

      Thanks!
