    There is a new update available for the Nintendo 3DS available. There is not much info about this update yet. It already has been confirmed to block some flashcards like the Acekard2i, EZ-Flash Vi; Supercard DSTWO and iEvolution in DSi Mode seem to still work.

      For those of you with 3DS with upgraded firmware (3.0.0-6, etc) who are getting the black screen error (push and hold power button to turn off...), have you actually gone through the process to upgrade your R4i-3DS to the latest version?
      This is not simply a case of copying the files to the SDHC, but also there's a procedure to click upgrade button within the settings of the card's UI, which it seems can only be done on a DS/i/Lite, not a 3DS.
      (a bit old version, but basic idea shown around 4 mins of here R4i SDHC upgrade Method for DSi V1.4.3 and 3DS V2.1.0-4U - YouTube )

      Could it be you copied over the new kernel files but haven't actually done this upgrade procedure, so the 3DS with new firmware is still seeing the old kernel?

      I tried following that but I cant get the card to load. On the blue 3ds it sees it as the new version.. wish I hadnt clicked on the shop for the eurosport thing

      please read what is wrote. It is so simple. You need other 3DS without update (version 2) or someones DSI , DS lite. And in this , you have to done update CARD.

      and when you tell people what they need to do, say which people need to do that. Some people have different cards which is a different way.

      Is this upgrade really provided by the Nintendo company? Does it really work as good as you are saying?
