3DS System Update 3.0.0-5.

I will not be able to tell you anything else till i get home from work later tnight and grab one of the boys 3ds and update the FW on the card and the DS... so until then im sorry.... BTW the only place that i trust is modchipcentral.com

I just dont like sites that when i go to them my HANDY DANDY NEWLY INSTALLED AD BLOCKER goes crazy (@ r4ishopper) so idk what you have or even if it is real!!!

I'm in the same boat as you mate... are you on 3.0.0-5e now? I updated mine and just get an error has occured on 1.48; even tried using the 1.49 update they just put up, still nothing... but notice how the website now clarifies it as working with 3.0.0-5j? It only said 3.0 earlier on. Looks like somebody rushed the update on the site, and left us stuck in a rut...!

I have emailed them too, hoping for a quick response.

I dont think that it will be about kernell update only...
I think this is hw problem, because same black screen without sdhc in it.
I have ACE3DS ordered now.

Got mine working perfectly now... need to put the update files for 1.49 onto the card, and then go to 'Config' then 'Upgrade' to flash the card. You need to do it on a console that can already read the R4 however... I borrowed my girlfriends DSL to do it, now it works perfectly - card recognizes as 'Chronicles of Narnia - Prince Caspian' instead now. Make sure the DSL/DSi has enough power, or is plugged in to a charger!

No problem at all mate - just make sure you format the sd card first, then place the 1.49 update on the root as normal. Then boot up in a DSL/DSi etc and you will be good to update! Hope it goes well for you

I can confirm, that after start r4i-sdhc.com 3DS card on friends DSL , go to config - then udate. Wait till it is done. Than card to my 3DS 3.0.0-5E and it works!!!
R4i-sdhc 3ds card works with patched 3DS 3.0.0-5E!

I´ve installed the 25583-R4i-3DS V1.49b English in the micro sd card and then put it in the R4i 3ds gold. Then insert in the Nintendo 3ds...and nothing. Doesn´t ask me to upgrade, the black screen still apeears with "An error..." and i have to turn off. I´ve also format the Sd card.

But my huge problem is that my 6 year son is almost asking for a new Daddy

Could you help me please?

You need to do the upgrade in another ds system that hasnt been updated. May want to just format the sd card and download the newest kernel which is V1.51b 1.Format SD card using Panasonic formatter or format on computer. 2. Download latest Kernel(1.51b) to computer and unzip it . 3. Copy the files onto sd card. 4. You will need to use a pre 3.0.0-5 3DS, dsi or nds/ndsl to run the update. It will not upgrade on a 3ds that has 3.0.0-5 software already on.Insert the cartridge into a suitable console. Click “Congfig” and then “upgrade”,wait until 100% completed. 5. The card will now work

i have a m3i zero and there was a update for the new updated 3ds firmware so i updated it and then updated my 3ds and when i powered it up and clicked on the icon to start it said there was a system failure nd i had to power off anyone tell me what i did wrong cause it works on my neices 3s that hasnt been updated

On the 7th December they had an 3.0.0-5 update out and the update went fine then told me to reboot, i rebooted and i think it bricked my card coz it would now not show up on my 3ds or my ds lite.
I emailed Ace3ds (they are not good at english), they said it was a bad update and they have now added a working update. Since my card is bricked i tried the hotswap method to unbrick it.
I put the update on an old R4 card and loaded up the update on my ds lite and then switched it to my bricked Ace3ds which also has the new update on it, it detects the card but i get "ID MISSMATCH" error.
I've been emailing them several times a day and all they said was -

"Your cards ID doesn't seem to work with the update"

My card has worked perfectly before with no problems and I know there's quite a few people with this same problem so i want to know if the new update actually worked for anyone.

If so can anyone help please??

You need to copy it to the micro sd inside the R4 card! Follow my instructions from above!

Sorry to hijack thread but I need help with a 3ds r4i-sdhc card. I think maybe I need to upgrade 3ds to 3.0.0-5? I downloaded the latest 1.51b on a micro sd card, put it in 3ds (ver 2.1.0-4e) and I got message error has occurred, turn off system. I took card out i managed to get it to show on 3ds menu, but it stopped working, then worked after few tries. So I decided upgrade the card on 3ds like you guys talk about here above. Now my 3ds card say fake card! please return to retailer. What can I do to fix this?

Update your 3ds and see what happens.
