Still haven't gotten this working with USB Loader GX but I'm ok with that, I have found a way (via a guide I read) to set my Wii up allowing me to dual boot between real NAND and emu NAND. Such a good thing for me to do during my trial and error process of creating a few channels...between this, Wii Banner Player and Dolphin Emu I've been saved from about 7 banner bricks now :P
I should have gotten into emuNAND much sooner

I just wanted to take a second and say thank you for all your incredible, well laid out and thought out guides. Hell, just the formatting of the post alone has to take some time (even if using wysiwyg editing hehe). But seriously, I have found them very handy and after a couple reads from the first letter to the last stop, am at least reasonably confident i wont be too hesitant to press the 'A' button. Anyhow i have made use of some to date, and bookmarked many others for quick reference at a later time.

Thanks for the time taken and a job well done m8

      /KnucKs

      (edit)
P.S. The same goes to all those who take the time here to offer up their knowledge which i have had the great benefit of being able to piggy-back off.
(and as always with a tip of the hat to Dogeggs who started me off way back when...)

@pob3008....just want to say a really bog thanks for the guide.

Just one question, my wad is showing up in the channel view of wiiflow (great) but I would like to have it bundled with games. That way I dont have to switch back and forth and see the other channels. How can I do this?

BTW..I'm getting an error screen when using a different theme (nightblue). does this only work for the default theme?

      Thanks in advance...

As far as i know that option isnt available in wiiflow, have a look at the usb loader gx guide

Just want to say Wiiflow is my favorite USB Loader Is it okay to use Wiiflow to extract the nand ? Or do I have to use WIIQT ? Also if any one want covers for emulators try cover-collections-for-emulators it looks amazing.
Example your NES full covers will go in root:/wiiflow/boxcovers/fceugx/ and flat covers in root:/wiiflow/covers/fceugx/. Boxcovers is for your full covers (back, spine, front) and covers is for 2d flat covers (just the front no spine).
You have to rename it exactly as the rom :
      root:/wiiflow/covers/wii64/Bomberman 64 (USA).n64
      root:/wiiflow/covers/fceugx/Jaws (USA).nes
      root:/wiiflow/covers/snes9xgx/Doom (USA).smc
You just have to add .n64 to the wii64 covers, .nes to the fceugx covers and .smc to the snes9xgx covers, etc

Edit: There is also some handy re-naming apps if you have a lot of roms like FuzzyRename and Bulk Rename Utility
I use Wiiflow to extract the nand and it works perfect

Hey the wiiflow wink you supplied is dated. Do you have a spare link or do any of the wiiflow version downloads work?

Once u have extracted the nand u do not need them but it would be wise to keep your original copies

Hi, i followed the guide and i can switch to my backup nand, but i would like to run my backed up gamed from WBFS folder from inside the emulated nand. My emulated nand doesn't have any USB loaders as the backup was done before i installed them. So i see no way to run games from WBFS. Is that possible in this setup?

      Thanks,

Why do you want to launch another usb loader from within wiiflow? Thats like wiping before you poop. It doesnt make sense to do something like that...

But if i just start wbfs game from wiiflow it will use my real nand, right? i have issues playing "Tintin" game using usb loader - the game freezes , thanks to Ubisoft protection. From what i've read if i start the game from emulated nand the protection will not kick in cause emulated nand is not modified. So i'm looking for a way to start my wbfs game from inside emulated nand.

FYI, the link to your forwarder's channels for wiiflow is not working... I think you meant https://sites.google.com/site/wiiflo...arder-channels since now they use google sites.

First of all I want to thank you for an excellent guide. I don't think anyone on the internet would be able to make this particular trick happen without this guide. I've read through it several times and have read every post to this thread, but no one seems to have my problem:

When launching any title from my emulated nand, the Wiiflow logo appears and the CD tray flashes very briefly and then blank screen for about 18 seconds. After that, Wiiflow reloads and I need to redirect it to my emulated NAND. Rinse and repeat for every title.

I've followed the guide to the letter. I'm on d2x-v7 in all the right places, fresh Wiiflow with no plugins, the wiiflow.ini you posted in the guide, no SD card, nand directory on USB1 fat32 (I've tried moving nand folder contents to USB root, but no change), all titles set to the proper region. All my Wii games appear and play fine. All my VC/Wiiware titles appear fine as well, but launching them is a no go. I have nothing on my real nand to test.

Any ideas? I've run out of them. Thank you for your time and patience!

You could try d2x rev 10, but im think that's probably not the issue. If u could get USB loader Gx from my other guide and try that see if it works or not it might narrow the options down

I did try d2x-v8 at one point in the troubleshooting process. I suppose I'll try them all before I go messing with another loader since IOS injection a relatively easy tweak. But like you, I get the feeling it's something else I'm missing. I'm gaining way more experience on the subject of Wii hacking than I had anticipated when I started the process. I guess there's no avoiding trial and error with this stuff.

Thanks for the reply! I'll let you know what I find.

Oh one more question... Wiiflow needs no plugins at all to run VC/Wiiware?
