      That shouldn't happen, maybe it is a compatibility issue with the hard drive.

      Yeah, that just may be it. It works fine when it does work. I just have trouble with it crashing when I try to turn it on. It is a 4 GB Lexar thumb drive.

      My other hard drive (the one I use for my WBFS games) works fine, but I can't seem to get the FAT32 partition to work with the nand emulation. It won't detect the games.

      I am thinking is is more of an iso issue. I just re modded my wii this weekend using the Any Wii guide. Do I still need to install all the D2x wads listed in your guide for the wiiflow?

      Thanks.

      I thought that was the case. I guess I will start looking for another drive. Is it common for a drive to have the WBFS partition work fine but have issues with the FAT32 format? I use a drive that is on the compatibility list.

      Thanks for all your help.

      For some background information today i modded my wii with the Mauifrogs mod any wii guide.
      my wii is version 4.3u / When i installed the apps i installed them all onto my usb hdd. From the start i was not able to launch wiiflow from the wiiflow forwarder channel. it simply loads and then returns me to the wii menu. now i have researched this and everyone says make sure to have wiiflow installed like this:
      * USB:\apps\wiiflow\boot.dol
      * USB:\wiiflow\boot.dol
      and i do have it installed this way. Wiiflow loads perfectly from HBC.

      i have also installed the 8 bit channel because you say thats what you use and it loads from usb. still does the same thing. do you have any ideas for me?

      On another note i was wondering if its possible for wiiflow to load my wiiware games and my backup games (WBFS folder) all at the same time and automatically?

      -thankyou ahead of time for any help you are able to bring me

      Make sure your drive is marked active and primary, and at this moment no Wiiflow can only switch between Hard drive, real nand and emulated nand

      .

      I tried it from another 4 GB thumb drive, and it works perfectly. Same manufacturer...weird!

      Anyway, is there a way to switch games in nand emulation without going to the system menu each time? To get out of a game, I use the home button and that then goes to the system menu. Not sure if there is a way to change games without leaving Wiiflow.

      Thanks.

      well thank-you for the quick reply, I looked at your guide for fat32 HD's and i downloaded Easeus Partition Master however when i right click on my 4gb usb drive there is no option to delete partition. (or really to do anything with partitions)
      I don't understand this because when i plug in any other usb flash drive all the options are there. also on the 4gb there is no option to mark as active, and when i format it there is no option to set as primary as there is on other drives.
      This makes no sense to me but i thought you may make sense of it. any help is greatly appreciated but if you don't know what to do its also okay because 2 days ago i ordered a 32gb usb stick and i hope it is compatible with everything.
      ps. the 4gb usb is marked as "Disk4 Supper Floppy 3.76GB" Whereas my smaller one is marked as "Disk2 Basic MBR 1.89 GB" could this be the problem?
      On another note when i did mark my smaller USB as active and primary the wiiflow channel loaded fine so that is what is missing.

      There is an option to change in the wiiflow.ini to return to loader

      yes, unfortunately that will be your problem, some drives just aren't compatible.

      In the guide, under Themes for WiiFlow, it would be nice to tell people how to install those themes (download theme, extract to SD/WiiFlow/Themes and select from within WiiFlow).

      I figured it out by myself (as a n00b) but it would just be a nice addition to the guide IMO. ;-)

      I doesn't seem to work properly for me.
      I did the "softmod any wii" guide before (including putting the app-pack3 on a SD card). Wiiflow was there as a channel. I did not follow the guide to install d2x v7 since another person here said it was not necessary (like I said, I did the softmod guide already). Now when I go on the wiiflow channel, either on the system menu or the homebrew channel, it bugs. It doesn't seem to see my NAND, and I tried to backup a game... bug! Any clues?

      Is there any reason Wiiflow is installed on a usb device rather than the sd card. It would be easier for my wife not to have to switch to usb in the homebrew channel.

      Thank you

      You can mess about with the setups but I can't confirm if u will be able to get nand emulation running with any other setup

      I got an hdd formatted to wbfs with all my backuped games. i turned them into ios files and copied them to my pc (for another backup). can i use them on a fat32 hdd so i'll be able to make emulated NAND as well?
      thanks in advance
