• ModMii for Windows

    What is ModMii?

ModMii, formerly known as NUS Auto-Downloader, is able to download all the files needed to modify ANY Wii (4.3U/E/J/K and Below); it can generate custom guides based on your Wii's specifications, and save the files to your SD Card in their appropriate locations for easy offline softmodding.

Literally run the program once, let it download,
and you have all the files you need on your SD card to modify your Wii

    What can ModMii do?

    • It can download all the files necessary to Modify, Upgrade & Downgrade your Wii System Menu

    • Download individual IOS/cIOS files, cIOS & cMIOS installers, Official Wii Channels, System Menus, Multi Mod Manager, YAWMM, Dop-Mii, both versions of Bannerbomb, Hackmii Installer etc.

    • Install patched IOSs without an wifi connection on your Wii

    • This includes an easy to follow Custom guide to setting up a USB-Loader (including how to format/partition your external hard drive)

    • Install SNEEK, build SNEEK NAND dumps, and Batch Extract Wii Games for use with SNEEK+DI or UNEEK+DI

    • Customize Bootmii, Wad Manager and MMM start-up settings using ModMii
Configurators to create a custom config files

    • This is also capable of downloading 000000**.app files for Sneek and MyMenuify

    • Provides solutions for the upside-down homebrew channel and the HackMii installer No Vulnerable IOS problems

    • Advanced Custom Downloads Feature will allow you to easily patch and change the slot/version of IOSs/cIOSs (only use this feature if you know what you are doing!!)

    How to Use ModMii

    • Download and use the ModMii Installer

    1. Run the "ModMii.exe" (make sure your firewall or proxy is not blocking the program from accessing the internet)

    • Choose an activity from the list on the Main Menu to begin (see screenshot below for options). Note, a custom guide will only be generated when "ModMii Wizard (W)", "HackMii Solutions (H)" or "USB-Loader Setup (U)" are selected.

    How to mod your Wii

    • Run ModMii, from the Main Menu enter "W" to start the ModMii Wizard

    • When asked if your Wii is a virgin, you can answer yes "Y" even if your Wii is not a virgin in order to re-hack your Wii and update all your Wii's softmods. You should only answer no "N" if you know specifically what softmods need updating or if you only want to change your system menu version.

    • Answer the questions ModMii asks about your Wii, it's very simple, so I won't even go into the details, but here's a video tutorial made by Pepxl based on v4.0.1. Later versions work much in the same way, so its still a great tutorial even if you are using a newer version.

    • Wait until the program is done working, verify that all the files downloaded successfully, then (if you didn't change the drive letter to your SD card) locate the newly created folder called "COPY_TO_SD". Copy everything inside this folder to the root of your SD card (merge folders if it asks).

    • Now just follow the generated guide.

ok, iīm tried to mod a wii with a guide from other page, the hbc was already installed through letterbomb, in that guide one of the steps indicated that i had to install a series of wads to a certian ios (249) or the ios with the trucha but that ios wasnīt installed on that wii i tried to install the wads on the ios 38 and 58 (the one mentioned on the bootmii install log on the sd of that wii, and the one loaded by default) but in either no ios was installed but 3 (labeled ios 58, 59 and 61), it was clear that i messed up... but the wii wasnīt bricked. my question is if i can still use modmii to mod that wii even after that mistake or if i have to do something before?...

      edit: to junkmail:

essentially the wii iīm trying to mod isnīt mine, when i received it only had the HBC and bootmii installed and nothing else, i was just trying to install the rest of the things (patched ios, cIOS, priiloader, etc...)

ps: sorry if i send repeated replys, i didnt know you canīt put links on the comments...

Marvin, are you trying to softmod your wii or is your wii softmodded and working right now? I'm having a little trouble understanding your post.

About to mod my virgin 4.3e wii. When I'm going through the options (using ModMii wizard) on what channels to download, do I need to select 'yes' to download/install channels that I already have?

If you already have them, no need to download them again

Okay. I've been trying to update my softmodded Wii that was originally softmodded using the "Mod Any Wii" guide for well over a week now. I'm updating because Zelda Skyward Sword will not boot. I just keep getting a black screen with a remote that won't do anything. I ripped the game to my USB hard drive using Wii Flow. I'm on system menu 4.2, and everything else appears to work fine, but this game simply will not load. Any ideas what I'm missing here? If you need more info let me know, and I appreciate any help I can get. Just about ready to chuck this Wii out the window!

Yes, I've followed that guide, but I'm getting confused when it comes to installing these updates cIOS 249 [56] d2x v6 & cIOS 250 [57] d2x v6. Is there a separate tutorial for using that installer? I've been softmodding for a long time, and this is the first real issue I've had. I've already tried installing them as WADs, but Wii Flow doesn't show them as options when I went in to change them for Skyward Sword, so I don't know if they even installed. Thanks again for the help!

I just modded my new Wii with Modmii and can play games from my USB hard drive. I'm not sure what to expect if the mod is done correctly. To play a backed up game I boot up the Wii with the SD card still in it (I removed the NAND backup files then reinserted it), then I go to USB Loader in the menu then select a game. Is this how it should be or should the USB hard drive automatically mount the Wii and display the games in the main menu?

Also, when I select the Homebrew Channel, all I have in there are the various installers that I used in the custom guide.

Are these two things normal or have I done something wrong somewhere?

Yes everything there is normal. You need to use a loader to access the games on your HDD, and the Homebrew Channel shows all of the apps that are in the apps folder on your SD card.
