• ModMii for Windows

    What is ModMii?

ModMii, formerly known as NUS Auto-Downloader, is able to download all the files needed to modify ANY Wii (4.3U/E/J/K and Below); it can generate custom guides based on your Wii's specifications, and save the files to your SD Card in their appropriate locations for easy offline softmodding.

Literally run the program once, let it download,
and you have all the files you need on your SD card to modify your Wii

    What can ModMii do?

    • It can download all the files necessary to Modify, Upgrade & Downgrade your Wii System Menu

    • Download individual IOS/cIOS files, cIOS & cMIOS installers, Official Wii Channels, System Menus, Multi Mod Manager, YAWMM, Dop-Mii, both versions of Bannerbomb, Hackmii Installer etc.

    • Install patched IOSs without an wifi connection on your Wii

    • This includes an easy to follow Custom guide to setting up a USB-Loader (including how to format/partition your external hard drive)

    • Install SNEEK, build SNEEK NAND dumps, and Batch Extract Wii Games for use with SNEEK+DI or UNEEK+DI

    • Customize Bootmii, Wad Manager and MMM start-up settings using ModMii
Configurators to create a custom config files

    • This is also capable of downloading 000000**.app files for Sneek and MyMenuify

    • Provides solutions for the upside-down homebrew channel and the HackMii installer No Vulnerable IOS problems

    • Advanced Custom Downloads Feature will allow you to easily patch and change the slot/version of IOSs/cIOSs (only use this feature if you know what you are doing!!)

    How to Use ModMii

    • Download and use the ModMii Installer

    1. Run the "ModMii.exe" (make sure your firewall or proxy is not blocking the program from accessing the internet)

    • Choose an activity from the list on the Main Menu to begin (see screenshot below for options). Note, a custom guide will only be generated when "ModMii Wizard (W)", "HackMii Solutions (H)" or "USB-Loader Setup (U)" are selected.

    How to mod your Wii

    • Run ModMii, from the Main Menu enter "W" to start the ModMii Wizard

    • When asked if your Wii is a virgin, you can answer yes "Y" even if your Wii is not a virgin in order to re-hack your Wii and update all your Wii's softmods. You should only answer no "N" if you know specifically what softmods need updating or if you only want to change your system menu version.

    • Answer the questions ModMii asks about your Wii, it's very simple, so I won't even go into the details, but here's a video tutorial made by Pepxl based on v4.0.1. Later versions work much in the same way, so its still a great tutorial even if you are using a newer version.

    • Wait until the program is done working, verify that all the files downloaded successfully, then (if you didn't change the drive letter to your SD card) locate the newly created folder called "COPY_TO_SD". Copy everything inside this folder to the root of your SD card (merge folders if it asks).

    • Now just follow the generated guide.

Hi I just updated an old softmodded 4.3e with this guide and it worked fine except that when I go too homebrew channel and point the remote at the screen, all motion is reversed. So when I move the controller in an upwards motion, the pointer moves in a downwards direction add left right motion is also reversed. This also happens when using cfg loader and USB loader gx. Otherwise no problems at all. I had a 4.2e black console that wad a virgin laying astound so I decided to pop its cherry using this method and it also worked really easily and the exact same thing odd happening to this console as well. Can anyone shed Abby light on why this might be happening and point me inn the right direction. I reinstalled homebrew channel so its tinning UPDated on both units but they are still both doing the Same... Please help!

Just installed this on my Wii 4.3U. I am guessing it worked fine. Said it was a success, it reloaded, and there was HomeBrew. So now, I have all the original channels as before the hack. What now? Just play my games as normal? Can I play burned games? Its my first day. Thanks!

Yes you can use a tool called cleanrip to dump the games to an sd or usb and burn them to a dvd.

CleanRip. Ok. Need to find it and a tut on installing it(could you pint me in the right direction?). I just bought a 4gb sd card. Can I add games to that and play them? How? I used a 512mb card from an old camera to install the hack- hehe. I ask this cause I didn't know the extent of your mod. Like if it installed everything and was just a plug and play type of deal. I appreciate your answers. Thank you.

Just google cleanrip, download it and extract the cleanrip folder ti the apps folder and run it from the HBC.

You can copy the files on your smaller SD to the new SD, no problem.

Thanks. I did find it and have yet to install it. But working on it. A plethora of info here. Confusing at times. Right now I found a 200gb Sata 3.5" in my storage of computer crap. So I want to research how to put all my games onto it. And run them from it. It all seems easy but, it isn't. lol.

I have been trying to do this for probably around 25 hours (over the last 4 days) of searching and reading forums but no matter what I do I cannot seem to get past the No vulnerable ios found message. This is a virgin launch day Wii that was recently upgraded from 0.0u to 4.3u(never connected to internet until 4 days ago). I have tried the solution in the ModMii and am able to install all the wads successfully using MMM but when I click on apps and then the hackmii v.08 it still gives me the no vulnerable ios found message. It also gives the no vulnerable ios found error when I try the original ModMii way again too. Running sys check...not sure if that's even through modmii or not at this point... shows that nothing is patched and that rest are stubs.

      My install log

I am completely lost. I've tried Mauifrogs guide, using dop mii to reinstall all the ios, and ModMii.
      Iv'e tried this fix
      https://sites.google.com/site/comple...-stuff/fix-hbc and many others.
Every guide usually finishes with "and now you have hbc reinstalled" yet they say its for virgin Wiis yet it would just be a normal installation. So confused. Help would be much much appreciated. Thanks so much.

      Hi All..

went through the steps that ModMii has asked me and generated the guide and I copied the info to the SD card.

I was on 4.2U firmware and selected to upgrade to 4.3u

I went through the steps of the guide while I was going through the programs and after the installation, everything seemed fine.
The system menu said it was 4.3u and I was able to launch all the problems including games from the usb drive using the program from the HBC.

Then I inserted one of my many original games that I knew in the past would not let me play it until I did the upgrade to 4.3...
Oddly enough, this time around, even though through WAD Manager I upgraded to 4.3u, the game(s) when inserted told me an update was available. It allowed me to update it and the game played fine thinking that I was in the clear... I tried to Load the 'USB Player' and it told me that ISO249 was stubbed and the USB Loader returned me back to the system menu.

I used Wad Manager to reload ISO249 and the USB Loader and the games worked fine, but any of my original discs that did work after the upgrade re-asked me to upgrade again in order to play it.. again.. when I did the USB Loader failed..

Seems that I cannot get the USB Loader AND original game discs wanting 4.3 to work at the same time even though the 4.3 wad was installed.

Anybody know what the heck is going on with ISO249, what ISO249 is and why USB Loader and original game discs are fighting over this?

      Cheers
      SoiledStuff.

You need to install Priiloader to block the updates. Guide HERE.

      - Follow the guide again and reinstall your cIOS; ie ios249.

      - Install Priiloader and enable the block updates hacks.

      - enjoy your original games

      Hi,

I have a softmodded wii which I did a couple of yrs ago and its on firmware 4.1 and I want to update it with the latest IOS's and progs...i got to the part of selecting the new firmware which it says (4.1 recommended), is there any benefits updating to 4.2? or even 4.3? ....I run my backups off a hdd , or shall I just stick with 4.1?

      thanks.

No benefit at all in updating your system menu version. All 4.2 and 4.3 did was kill off homebrew and prevent loading from backup discs. Best to stay on 4.1.

thanks for the quick reply....better stay on 4.1 then......

      Spoiler

That is the worst syscheck in history...... You could copy the file to "word pad" to make it easier to read....

But from the looks of it:
its USB loading for you and also a softmod update in the near future..
