    The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword introduces full motion control enabled by the Wii MotionPlus accessory, which synchronizes player movements with Link's actions while offering intuitive play control.
    With the Wii MotionPlus accessory, every movement of Link's sword matches the player's motion with exact precision. If players motion left to right, Link swings from left to right. The precision play control is applied to enemies as well, as players must contemplate strategy when battling opponents that actively try to defend against attacks.

    Note: If you followed the Softmod ANY Wii Guide you can already load the game with cIOS 248 or 250.

      Hi all, I have an issue I'm hoping some kind modder will be able to assist me with. I've been trying all day to get my Wii setup to run Skyward Sword to no avail. I've been through 3 different d2x cIOS versions finally settling on v8 final. Every time I try to run the game via USB Loader GX I either get the #001 error or a black screen. It all depends on the cIOS I have selected. Under cIOS 248 I get a black screen, 249 I get #001 and 250 I get the black screen again. I'm using USB Loader GX v2.3 so it's not an issue of an old loader version. This will also be the first game I've used the WM+ with so I selected to run player.dol from the menu. I'm pretty sure I've done this all as directed and I'm stumped on where to go from here. I wish the Wii was as easy to keep up to date and setup correctly as the PS3 CFW.

      I've had this Wii for around 4 years now and in that time I've installed many different fixes to get things going and I may have done certain parts wrong from time to time, so my syscheck info is very cluttered. syscheck as follows:

      I have a 4.3E softmodded (mauifrogs guide) wii. I ripped skyward sword using wiiflow and it seems to work. what I'm wondering is can I download and install the zelda restoration chanell without it messing up my modded wii, and, will it work when the game is being played from hdd? thnx!

      The only thing that the Zelda Restoration Channel does is modify the game save state saved in the NAND. It doesn't know if the game is played from disk or hard drive and doesn't care. Either way, the save state is saved in the same place.

      I think v8 should be fine,.I know v7 does.

      Then I dont know what im doing wrong. Im using USB Loader GX and I can get the Motion plus video but after that it hangs after the controller calibration with a black screen and the disk drive light keeps blinking. With Neogamma I can get to the name registry and watch a dragon like thing crack the ground and rawr then it will hang with black screen

      EDIT: While typing this, USB Loader GX kicked in after about 30 seconds and I was able to register my name and I seen the dragon thing but it hung with black screen after that, just like Neogamma.

      EDIT: ok after playing around with the options, I got it past the dragon rawr, but it takes forever to get past the long drive blinks, I timed it at 1 min 36 secs, any way to fix this?

      Hey guys I softmodded my wii using your guide(thanks a lot by the way) and all of my games work except this one.I followed this guide completely but still no luck.I get an error message (not a wii disc) with both neogamma and wiiflow.I am really stuck and I could really use some help.Thanks in advance

      Signed up just to see if one of the members of this site could help me out. For whatever reason skyward sword will not return to the wii menu for me once I'm already playing it via cfg v70 on my 4.3 softmodded wii. I'd appreciate it if someone could come up with a resolution, all my other games can return to the wii menu (this one excluded)

      It loads to the calibration screen but quickly goes to "Disc cannot be read." after following the disc guide. I'm on 4.1u and any help would be appreciated.

      darn i got the problem of my legend of zelda not working through neogamma after the wii motionplus video, i installed the cios *recommended for all games* to play this one, but after the wii motion plus instructional video, it says, disc cannot be read.

      my neogamma is upgraded to r9 b56 while using maui frog's , this guide http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-any-wii.html

      so i hope i can get some help.

      after the video of connecting the wii motion plus, it says: disc cannot be read.

      i'm on 4.3e with the latest guide and updates.

      Hi all,

      I've got HBC / Priiloader / Neogamma (not latest version - it's V9BXX, but not the newest) - I was running Wii 4.2e. Wii is softmodded.

      I've got a retail version of Skyward Sword, but the Wii Motion Plus and Nunchuck doesn't work in the system menu (the Nunchuck knocks out the controller).
      Also, once in the game, I get to the part where you first control Link and it's like the Z button is held down on the Nunckuck. Control stick doesn't respond.
      Tried with another Nunchuck and get the same issue.

      I've watched the Wii motion plus video.

      I have updated Pimp my Wii (using online updates) and updated everything it finds automatically.
      Still got the same issue(s)

      Updated Wii Firmware to 4.3e, reinstalled PriiLoader. HBC still works.
      Still got the same issue(s).

      Re ran Pimp my Wii, did the auto updates
      Still got the same issue(s).

      Will try the latest version of neogamma tonight and the IOS update recommended on post #1 - BUT! If this doesn't work where from here?

      Try a different Wii Motion Plus (I can return it to Amazon for a refund)
      And if that fails? Ideas?

      Hi, i have Skyward Sword on my HDD. It's a PAL version on my NTSC Wii. My Wii is a launch Wii. It no longer run's disc- the laser/drive is dead. Im having a couple of problems- First, i installed CIOS 250 base(57) d2x v6. I used Block ISO Reload= Yes, Error 002 fix= Anti
      VidTV Patch On, Force NTSC. But, when it comes to the .dols, there's only player.dol. There's no main.dol's at all. I've watched the movie, but it freezes at the "Connecting the WiiMotionPlus" section. I can watch fully the other 3. I even made it once to the "Calibrating WMP+ screen" and when it's done, it stays on a black screen.. HELP.

      Hello everybody,
      I have an original 4.2u NTSC Wii. As I live now in Europe, I ordered an US import version of Zelda skyward but it turns out that the game is actually a pal version. before considering returning the game, I would like to know if it was possible to unlock the wii in order to make it region free and be able to play the game. I know the question must be trivial for you but I'm really a novice with that.

      I got my little brother this game. He has enjoyed it alot but we ran into the game breaking dragon bug :/. I would highly appreciate it if someone could
      send me the data restoration channel wad file or upload it x). So I could install it and fix the save file. I would download it but the wii has a defunct network adapter so intrenet on it, doesnt work sadly. Thank you!

      Im sure someone else have the same problem with Zelda that randomly here and there, the console cant read the disc... But when I'm in the desert ship and are on my way to enter the lowest floor, in some strange way the games goes black exactly when Link opens the door and "Could not read the disc" appears. As i said I have got it by several other places, but more randomly.. But now it happens especially when i try to enter the bottom floor of the ship all the time. I have tried to download 2 different releases of the game, but the same happens on both of the discs. Would appreciate if someone could help me with this.. im going crazy.. thanks

      I am frustrated trying to play this game from USB.

      It kind of works sometimes, but I randomly get stuck at black screens...sometimes right when loading a game save, sometimes randomly when loading a new area. Frustrating.

      I have tried erasing the game and re ripping it, the game seems to be in great shape with no scratches. All my other games seem to work just fine.

      I got struck too after trying to get Zelda ZS to run on USB GX Loader 3.0, wiiflow and CFG Loader v70.


      I hacked my Wii through Letterbomb( PimpMyWii installed too) with the latest version available on 02/23 2013.
      We tried out so many things related with user.dol settings.
      I got my copy from SOMEWHERE I SHOULDN'T.

      Hello everybody,

      Long time I did not post to wiihacks.

      I have read the important messages of this thread but did not come to a solution. When I lauch the game on USB, I get the warning screen telling to safely attach the strap of the wiimote. During this, all LED on the wiimote switch off and it seems like I lose control. Then the screen switch to a black screen which freezes, wiimote leds flicker back, just as the wiimote is unsynchronized, and there is nothing else I can do anymore, except hardreseting the wii.
      -European Wii, Softmoded with the great "sofmod any wii guide" I (re)did from scratch yesterday.
      -I have got the original game, European Fr and I dumped it myself. I should mention the original game works perfectly from the disc channel.

      This should NOT be a problem of the video of first time playing wii motion plus game. I already watched it with Wii Sport, and tried to watch it again on zelda on disc channel to check if it changed anything.
      Then following this thread, I tried to erase and do a dump of the game again, in case of bad dump. Still useless.
      I tried all free loaders given by the guide and this led me to the same frustrating result. I also tried the three different IOS (248, 249, 250) on Configurable USB Loader.
      I also tried to put back default lauching options, to no avail.
      I did not try to install the wads in the first post since the ones installed in maui's guide should be functionnal and seemed more up to date.
      But now I am running a bit out of ideas... This is frustrating because each one of my others games work without any problem.
      I know I can just keep the disc in the wii all the time, but this solution is a bit inelegant.

      To anyone who will gladly come back to this rather old post and give me time for advice, I say thank you in advance.
