• [Guide] Legend Of Zelda Skyward Sword

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword introduces full motion control enabled by the Wii MotionPlus accessory, which synchronizes player movements with Link's actions while offering intuitive play control.
With the Wii MotionPlus accessory, every movement of Link's sword matches the player's motion with exact precision. If players motion left to right, Link swings from left to right. The precision play control is applied to enemies as well, as players must contemplate strategy when battling opponents that actively try to defend against attacks.

Note: If you followed the Softmod ANY Wii Guide you can already load the game with cIOS 248 or 250.

Don't update your Wii. Download and install the cIOS I mention in the guide

Just so we are clear, I am following the 'Softmods- Disc Loading' guide.

      I then goto 'http://www.wiihacks.com/other-faq-guides-tutorials/90147-cios-wad.html'

and then install 'Install all Recommended ciOS Pack'

      Is that correct?

No, the cIOS 249 [56] d2x v6 wad only. Go into the cIOS249 d2x spoiler and download the file that says recommended for most games

Thanks, I'll install 'ciOS249[56] d2x v6 (Recommended for Most Games)' tonight. Is that it then, will I be ready to play Zelda when it arrives?

Should be all good once that's installed.

      Thanks appreciate it.

Last question, can I run the game via the channel, or do I need to use neogamma?

Hmm, I think my neogamma is couple years old now, probably should update it.

Original Disc, you can load it through the Disc Channel. Just make sure you have Priiloader set to block Disc Updates. Although, you can load it through Neogamma instead if you wish.

DISCLAIMER: I know very little on hacking wii software, I am a complete amateur, so despite what I say here, please go easy and thorough in explanation.

Alright, I have a soft modded Wii, 4.3U, blah blah. I am getting Skyward Sword tomorrow, and for particular reasons I do not wish to have the firmware update to the point where it modifies/removes/ruins my softmod. I see two options here, that I can see:

      1.) Download Priiloader
-This is my preferred method, however! For some god forsaken reason, Bootmii, when I try to get it running, freezes at a black screen, with the Wii flashing every second or so. Any solutions to this, so I may back up my NAND and very the process of putting on Priiloader?

2.)Use Neogamma and treat the bought disc like a copied one
      - Would this even work? If so, I could just use the Block IOS Reload option, and all would be good.

3.) ?? Hit me with ideas

Get priiloader installed. Your bootmii will not launch unless you have the bootmii folder on the card. If you do not have it backed up to your pc, like you should have, just run the hackmii installer again and it will prepare your card for you.

Alright, I would like to clarify that I bought this softmodded (yes, scoff at me, I'm sorry), so I never did have a backup. I'll try to get a wii hacking 101 after googling HackMii, if there's any tips for a newbie, please let me know

-Edit: I just downloaded Hackmii like a good boy, but I can't find the proper instructions on what to do afterwords. Any links or directions you or someone can provide? Sorry, and thanks in advance.

      Read this!

You can get hackmi installer HERE, just run it through HBC.

      Thank you kindly.
In a desperate attempt to finalize this up, I can't find it through the stated above guide on how or where to put the Wiihack download. Do I toss it as a ZIP on the root, plug it back in the Wii, and it will somehow do the work itself, or do I extract? Should I fret with any of the folders that are for HBC already on there?

Extract it to the apps folder on your sd card. This is way off topic at this point, I hope you get it sorted.

      Hey Guys,

I'm having issues starting the game i have it all set up as stated in the guide with the correct cios (249), and i've tried usb loader gx and cfg usb loader. It always gets to the heath warning screen and then just black screens without restarting the wii.The copy of the game works fine on dolphin so i have no problem of a bad copy so I'm a bit clueless as to why I have the issue. I've already played the game with the original DVD which works fine. Set up wise both loaders load recent games such as xenoblade for example without any issue so any help to this would be great seeing as how no one here seems to have this problem. (a few folks reported it on gbatemp.net but i didn't see any solution there)

      Thx

so to reiterate, anyone who recently did Mauifrog's "Softmod ANY Wii" guide only needs to pop this game in via any mode (usb loader, back up disk, etc.) and with cIOS 248 or 250 and they're good to go?

Just to let you know I tried installing the wad ''ciOS249[56] d2x v6 (Recommended for Most Games)' using MMM, but it does not install. I get some message about skipping batch and get -2011 error.

      Anyone have any ideas?

ps. I've now installed priiloader, was simple enough.
