Call Of Duty : Modern Warfare 3 [Guide]

    Do not UPDATE your Wii.
    Update = SoftMod Gone

YOU CAN GET THIS GAME RUNNING BY USING A cIOS WITH A BASE ios of 57

Note - If you have used Mauifrog's guide to modify your lovely Wii then you should have already installed the correct configuration to run the game.

Select in your USB Loader - cIOS 250 (57)
    Or - Hermes cIOS 224 (57)

If you are not Soft Modded and would like to be then use Mauifrog's "Mod Any Wii Guide" Look -->
    Here.

If you are unsure if you have the correct cIOS then run a syscheck using this guide and check. (Thanks to Shift_Lock)

So this is what you are looking for in your syscheck

I don't have the correct cIOS--How do I install it?

    BackUp Disc Loading

Region patching is a useful tool but it works better when your disc region matches your console region. Update issues are almost always region related. Make sure you have your Wii Shop Channel updated to the newest version.

It's hard to give you detailed instructions without having the modem memorized but maybe I can point you in the right direction. If the superhub is a gateway (modem and router in one), there should be an option to turn DHCP on or off. You should turn it off and connect your Belkin router to the superhub. Then reset your Belkin to factory, it's just easier to get the new IP address that way. After setting it to factory, make sure your computers and Wii can "see" the new network. You can set up any security you want for the wireless. This should get you going.

Thanks cooperjs1 will give it a shot when i get in from work later i just done a quick check and i can disable dhcp so will give it a go.

sorry shouldv given more infor on superhub it is a gateway hub with both router and modem made by netgear and you are able to shut of wireless and just use modem mode only to which i have tried to no avail lol thats why i thought of posting here.

will let you know this afternoon when i get back from work cheers again

You can update in the game. If your shop channel isn't up to date, you can find out how to do it from the first page of the guide. It has some good step by step instructions on what to do. Make sure your game region matches the region of your Wii console. i.e. NTSC disc, NTSC Wii Console.

I have a question. My son is wanting to play with a headset. If we plug the headset into the open USB slot, it doesn't get power. If we unplug the USB Hard drive and plug it in the USB headset into that slot, it does get power, but now we can't USB load the game.

Is it possible to do something to USB Load the game and use a USB Headset to communicate in-game?

      Thanks.

Wow, that is WEIRD! The Wii, for some reason, can load USB games through that one particular USB port. I don't have any idea why the headset would only work through one USB port. I don't know if this would help but have you tried plugging the headset into the port that it doesn't work in and re-starting the Wii?

Yup. We tried that. The headset gets no power that way. I also tried connecting them to a USB hub through the one USB port that worked. Hard drive and Headset both had power, but the USB Loader couldn't find the hard drive.

Try using cIOS 224 to load the game with. I know that on Black Ops, it made a difference which cIOS you loaded the game with for the headset to work.

Thanks. I think I have it set to run via 250. I'm now trying to figure out how I did that so I can change it to 224.

OK. I got it to load with 224. Though, the headset in the 2nd USB port still isn't powering up when the game is running.

I've kept it plugged in and powered the Wii off, and it gets power. I boot the Wii again, load Configurable USB Loader, and the headset still has power. As soon as I launch the game, the headset powers down.

I know this is gonna sound like a dumb question, but have you checked your chat settings in the game? I will do some research and see if I can come up with anything else.

I get the option to turn voice chat on and off with the "L" button of the classic controller. Toggling it back and forth does nothing to the headset's power.

That's a strange situation you have going. From what I have read, the best idea is to put the USB hard drive in the bottom port and the headset in the top port (found another WiiHacks thread with this info) but that doesn't seem to help you any although I would suggest toying with that a little more. Maybe try different off and on power cycles with that config. Other than that, I am out of ideas brother.

Should ANY USB headset work? Or does it need to be the cheap PDP headset? I'm trying to use one of my other headsets that I have lying around the house so I don't have to buy yet another device that won't get used in 2 weeks (Wii U release) anyway.

Wow, that would have been some good information to have to begin with. I think it has to be the headbanger headset. It's like a computer, you have to have a driver for a peripheral to function. The Wii is only capable of using what devices it has "drivers" for.

Thanks. The jerks at GameStop was trying to tell me that any USB headset would work, so tried to upsell some $100 PS3 headset instead.
