    Call Of Duty : Modern Warfare 3 [Guide]


    Do not UPDATE your Wii.
    Update = SoftMod Gone

    YOU CAN GET THIS GAME RUNNING BY USING A cIOS WITH A BASE ios of 57


    Note - If you have used Mauifrog's guide to modify your lovely Wii then you should have already installed the correct configuration to run the game.

    Select in your USB Loader - cIOS 250 (57)
    Or - Hermes cIOS 224 (57)

    If you are not Soft Modded and would like to be then use Mauifrog's "Mod Any Wii Guide" Look -->     Here.


    If you are unsure if you have the correct cIOS then run a syscheck using this guide and check. (Thanks to Shift_Lock)

    So this is what you are looking for in your syscheck


    I don't have the correct cIOS--How do I install it?

      Yes just install ios 56 and the shopping channel wad. You can get them from the IOS and Channel thread in my signature.

      i did both update offline and online, can i update the wii shop channel?

      Did I not say you can update the shopping channel in my last post. Just don't take the one Nintendo wants you to take.

      I have a question about this, this guide primarily deals with NTSC-U and PAL wii's. I have an NTSC-J wii that has not been region changed. I have an NTSC-U version of the game, it loads through USB loader GX, but I have numerous issues. I have tried re-ripping several times to no avail. My problems are listed below;

      If I delete my save, the game boots to the main menu just fine and I can go into single player mode. If I try to go into spec-ops or multiplayer I get a loading screen loop. I have the following cIOS's

      202[60]v5.1 rodries mod
      222[38]v4
      224[57]v5.1 rodries mod
      249[56] d2x v6
      250[57] d2x v6

      I have tried to load it from both 224 and 250, neither work. I can get into multiplayer or spec-ops by setting one of those modes as default, however, if I do that I cannot return to the main menu without deleting my save. I cannot download the update because it requires you to access multiplayer mode (without setting it as default). I am convinced this is related to my wii being NTSC-J, as the game has not been, and probably never will be, released in Japan.

      I don't believe I used the mauifrog guide when I hacked my wii. I have had my wii since about 3.2J and hacked it around that time using a guide over at gbatemp (I don't know if we can post links so I won't). When I updated it to 4.3J I again used a guide at GBAtemp. IIRC, I used tales of symphonia to hack it. Although I do recall referencing the mauifrog guide. I can provide a syscheck if necessary. Anyone have any advice?

      Follow the softmod any wii guide(Link in Useful Links spoiler in my sig)
      Guide has the option of region changing your wii. Probably your best bet
      to get the game running.

      Hello. I have followed this guide to the T, and even went back and "re-did_ my softmod to make sure everything was accurate, but still not able to get this one to play.

      Here is my Sys check, anyone have ideas? I will be reading back through this post until I can get this sorted out. Thanks in advance.

      Hi everyone

      First off, thanks for the wonderful guide. I got MW3 up and running this weekend with ease. Now to my problem.... My son left MW3 in the wii which he knows he shouldn't, I have told him enough times but that is another subject. My daughter came home from school and wanted to play wii, not knowing what was in the wii, being curious and all, she started the game normally, at least I think thats what happened from what she told me after I asked her how she tried to start the game. Long story short, I guess it updated..... So, the cios that I installed into neogamma is now missing (v21d2x6), when I try to install the set again, MMM won't load the ios 249 anymore. It says it cant load the stub or something along those lines. The WII is still 4.1E

      I guess you could say a case of bad luck.^^

      So my question is, can I somehow fix this mess? I originally installed the softmod myself with the help of the wonderfull tuts that are online. Is there a way to reverse what has been done or can I redo the softmod all together???? Thanks you very much in advance. I hope I didn't post this in the wrong place. I figured it had something to do with this. If so, please just let me know and I will start a new thread or something. Thank you in advance!!

      There is a link to The Mod Any Wii Guide in the main guide. Do that and install priiloader this time to block online and disc updates.

      I have priiloader installed already. Thats what I didn't understand. I was at work when she did it so I am just assuming that it updated some file. It was working fine yesterday. Now like I mentioned above. Cios is gone and ios wont load with MMM. No burned games work. Priiloader works automaticly right?

      It sounds like you did not have the hacks enabled and the Wii was updated. If that is what happened then you have all stubbed cios. Priiloader will be gone as well, it is deleted when the SM gets updated.

      I had to read that 5 times to figure out what the heck you were talking about. Stupid phone and auto correct, I taught it emu but not sm yet.

      I followed "soft mode any wii", even reinstalled cIOS 250 according to this post, has V70 cfg loader. But it still show a black screen no matter I use 250 or 224-mload, also black screen to black ops too. Here is my syscheck:
